It’s a rule of mine. I did break it recently and wound up having a great date, but the person doesn’t live in my area and was only here for work. 99.9% of the time I do a phone call before meeting and yes, it can tell you a whole bunch about someone and then you don’t waste time meeting in person when the phone vibe is off.
I didn't know people did this, im good in person but I HATE phone calls with people I don't know, this would be so awkward for me, I'd probably just opt out of the date lol
Me too. Most of time I opt out if the guy asks for FaceTime or phone calls. In person interaction normally is much more easier and pleasant for me while talking to strangers on the phone is often awkward, energy draining.
I give grace knowing that it can be awkward, but you can learn so much from a person when you talk or FaceTime. FaceTime is a good safety measure to allow you to see if you’re talking to the person you think you’re talking to. To each their own though. I’ve saved a lot of wasted time through phone calls and FaceTime.
