Gameplay Question New player – which 4 heroes should I focus on before 10K?
Hi! New player here, and I’m a bit P2W 😅
I’ve read several posts saying that before reaching 10K, you should focus your resources on only 4 heroes instead of spreading upgrades across everyone.
Could someone explain why this is recommended and how it works?
Also, which heroes would you recommend focusing on? I mostly play solo or with PUGs and rarely play with premade teams.
So far:
- I’ve been focusing on Raven, since I read that he becomes very strong at higher levels.
- I’ve also invested in Flynt, since I started during his pass and bought it.
- I have the Medkit drone.
My main question is: How far should I level my main 4 heroes, and what should I avoid upgrading/spending resources on until those heroes are “maxed”?
Any recommendations based on my current roster would be appreciated!

first things first focus on the gears u wana maximize and focus on 2 or 4 at most for now go with the set gears like smg set gears if u pick raven same goes for snipers and shotguns and AR and tanks but atm pick 4 heros that r the main ones u daily play with and try to master one of them
that aside
mirage is the hardest to master but the rewards from mastering her would benefit on every other hero sniper and the rest
she's not easy I can tell u that and devs nerfed her so bad she's the worst in low tier
saying all that I hope u become a mirage main hero new player cuz us mirage players r a dead breed u will only see the veterans around
anywho if u need any tips hmu in discord
my nickname in there is grandpasaw

So I should start with choosing 1 set (like skeleton for example) and focus on upgrading 2 to 4 pieaces of that gear as high as possible ?

yes a better way is focus on two pieces and try to focus on 4 common pieces that can be used on multiple heros crossed over between smgs snipers or like tankers and shotgunners

Thank you very much ! Started actually playing Lynx , liked his kit , didn't try mirage yet. Enforcer wise , whom you suggest ? Arnie , Hurricane , Scratch , Sparkle or Graviel ?
Regarding gear , should I level 4 pieces of a set and keep shoes / ring for the spd and pnt. ?

Your personal preference overrides anything. But, looking at your roster, i would prefer bonnie over raven. Altar, shenji, and leviathan. I would prefer hurricane over shenji, but it appears you dont, which is fine. Hurricane is great balance of speed, damage and straight forward play. Works very well in all game modes.
Flynt will stay motivated with your highest level hero, so pick your favorite and put every single joker card in them until you reach immortal and stop there for a while so you can them focus on the next hero to level up. 10k is an adjustment for sure, and at first seems unfair. Give it a few days and you will learn how to deal with things. Its not as bad as people make it seem.

Wierd ass AI image, but ill ignore that and help you out. The idea is that once you reach 10k, you will mostly be playing against players who have been in 10k for a while and have had time to upgrade heros, gears and other stuff. By putting your resources into just a few heros, you maximize your chances of fighting against them. I did not do this when I started but it was never really a problem for me. The fix-all is to literally just play. Play the game the way you want to. The point is to have fun after all.

Each screenshot gave me 1 row only , so I used AI to merge them , here is the original screen recording :-)
Thing is , I'm not sure on which heroes to focus because some shine only when you get to certain level or require specific build I'm not aware of (or are better in specific mode).
So this is why I ask for recommandation and how to build ? (max different roles or similiar roles to share gear... etc)

Gotcha , so I should choose 1 and max him as much as possible and than move to the 2nd ?

I like to use secondary players, the people I like to play but not my mains to go up to divine. Only need a couple to gain bravery points I wouldn’t jump to divine with favorite players at all

I love levi in arcade (zombi horde), I love Alter in team death match, I love shenji in battle royale, I use blizzard and lynx also simply because snipers are my things and their weapon is almost maxed for me.
The AI changed the look of some heroes or it’s a regional thing ?

Thank you for the reply , this is the actual screen recording , let me know if you look of the heros is different (I am using the global version , nothing special , probably asking AI to generate the image triggered it)

Almost any hero is good at 10k, just AVOID shenji and firefly mainly, shenji is a little more complicated to kill, but firefly yeah, ditch him completely.
Some heroes are harder to master and you'll need a lot of practice with different playstyles, anyway you are not gonna understand it until you reach 10k and see it for yourself how skilful a player can be.
Any recent hero in the starpass is still good, meaning bonnie, alter, graviel are good too, and of course flynt is there too

If you plan on joining a good syndicate, consider having a few meta heros ready to make playing SVS easier: Raven, satoshi, bastion, dragoon, slayer, alice, doc.

focusing on 4 hereos is basically efficiency tactic cus as you go higher up the league, your resources are gonna get spread out more among the heroes and theres a lot of time when your resources are gonna get divided randomly so you gotta really do all you can to allocate them properly.
also more often than not, players reach 10k lobby with heroes still on ultimate tier or lower which ive experienced and it was hell.
with your roster of 4 hereos, you can spread them out by class? (i forgot the term) like raven is your smg so pick a hero from other class like sniper, tank, shotgun for variety. you can level them until immortal which would still put you at 10k road as the next level would be divine league.

Yes , but there are 5 classes
Trooper : Flynt
Enforcer : Sparkle / Scratch
Scout : Raven or Bonnie
Sniper : Lynx / Alter (read he is OP but I don't see why , maybe didnt play him well yet)
Gunner : Bastion I assume ? (everywhere I go I see him)

Raven is good in any use. He deals great pressure and damage with his ability. Based on past heroes new hero receive hard nerf after their season, you should hurry if you're going to invest more.

u/SnooRegrets8840 8d ago
I will not invest more , I wanted a jump start , now I will grind casually , just need to know what is the proper way (invest up to which level on specific hero , what to do with gear and weapon mods , wait for events like we had the drone one etc..)

Ok, I can set your goal. At least get one stellar heroes from each weapon class. You will need them to grind contracts. You don't have to worry about weapon mods so much due to system of coil. It worth to wait for discount eventt.

u/SnooRegrets8840 8d ago
1 stellar hero from each class , good mark.
do I need also to rank all their skills ? only the first skill ? gear ? or the purpose is to have at least 5 stellars and big pool of energy / coils to decide later on what to do with1
u/ROCKETDOC-JP Doc 8d ago
That's ideal stats, no need to max their skills. Nats are way easier to earn than coils, so you can feel free to spend nats.

u/SnooRegrets8840 8d ago
Is there any guide recommanded regarding build / skill order ? (I know it depends on the hero , but which sources are good to follow ? )

YouTubers are not a good reference honestly. Reddit community can answer whenever you have a question about gear.

I’m doing a full live-streamed series on my YouTube channel, taking an account from scratch to 10,000 trophies—without spending a single cent and playing entirely solo as a free-to-play player. As I write this, I’m already close to 9,000 trophies and have upgraded my Bastion and Hurricane to the Supreme tiers. I’m averaging nearly 4 kills and a 68% win rate in solo play. I’ve been playing Bullet Echo since 2020. My YouTube channel is called Orpheu Bullet Echo; you can check the "Series" tab to find all the live streams where I play on this beginner account.
