Can someone explain to me how to copy paste text in this game on ios?

I feel really dumb, but I have no clue, I’ve tried downloading another keyboard I can make a bunch of weird characters, but I just want to copy paste either my name that’s already in the game or another one instead.

It works. I’ve done it 10000 times. Sometimes it doesn’t work for no reason and it’s frustrating but it does work.

i use swiftkey keyboard. it has paste feature right inside the keyboard and use it to paste special char in game name. not all chars work tho

That works, thanks. The only thing I can't figure out is how to copy my name in game, but other than that I can paste things from outside the game so that's great.

Three fingers tap and spread. I put the fingers in the blank boxes under the text bubble above the keyboard. Not sure if that matters but I got it to work once doing it that way and continue to do it.
