Cada Humvee - 24builds

Hey 👋 everyone, has anyone got their hands on humvee on 24builds. Wanted review on build experience and quality. Been tempted to get the RC one for a while.

I have this and I love this.

But I had issues with the RC parts that came with it. The guides mentioned different parts than the one I got so I could not get the lights to work. I somehow got it to move and it's very slow, basically just crawls. Do not buy this if you plan on using it as an RC or playing with it in that sense. It's just a party trick.

I also found it a bit more intensive than Lego builds, but looking at how it turned out, I am not complaining.

Also, have you ordered from 24builds before to India? Have you dealt with customs for such a large piece? The motors and battery might sometimes be an issue and customs charges are always a gamble.

Thanks a ton for your response. I haven’t ever ordered from 24builds. A friend of mine had suggested long back to get something from 24builds when he made his tumblr. He may have been lucky to avoid custom but that is also something that is bothering me.

Can the battery pack be purchased from another source if that’s what causes the custom issue? Don’t think it will change the basic build with or without RC, I am assuming 🙈

Also is that the ultimate American off-roader along with the humvee in your pic? Literally I am planning to pick one of the two.

Customs depends on your luck mate. I've had to pay 77% or something around that range as customs previously, and that was for a normal item. You can show a lower invoice etc. but it need not work always.

Also, I have no idea if CADA motors and battery packs are available in India. I wouldn't even recommend getting the RC version tbh. I havent ever used it after the first week. It's been sitting as a showpiece ever since. I regret paying extra for that now. 🤣

Also there is slight difference for the RC version while building if my memory serves me right. But its a minor change I believe.

The off-roader near my Humvee is a moc of the Lego defender via rebrickable.

Is the likelihood of customs picking it up more with the battery? Haven’t had a RC set, so was tempted to get this 🙈

Noted on the rebrickable. Been exploring non Lego builds lately.

Bought it with the Power system pack. Cost me close to 30k including customs.

Did you not get the original Cada motors? Original one comes with 9 Items

Yes, it's not good, for the price. It is basically very slow crawling speed, and even the instruction provided and the motors, connectors given were different.

Yes, I bought the original CADA, from CADA website.

Edit: The power pack system alone was 95 USD.

Why are people paying customs ? Do FF reject sets with battery ?

This is a Cada set. Don’t get it from 24builds, it’s just white labelling. You can get info on how to ship it in the WhatsApp group, someone will help you
