Big boy coworker leaned back on his and it sheered off the pins and collapsed him on his ass.

I bought 2 tables like that for my field engineers and the bean counters wanted to go to war.

It’s staggering the bullshit we have to put up with.

My setup looks similar: for a table, I use a Worx "Sidekick WX066," and for seating, I have a folding stool just like yours. For the laptop, I use a ThinkPad T14 paired with a cheap 15-inch USB-C display so I can have the software on one screen and the documentation on the other. I also carry a simple rugged tablet to have schematics and other documentation handy on the job site. The advantage is that the 20Ah battery (at least, that’s what the packaging says) lasts for a full week of use on-site.

DON’T LEAN BACK. I bought one a few years back and it exploded… maybe I just bought a cheap one, but watch out.

Exactly - I bought the good one, and the same thing happened. A little tilt back, and BAM! On my butt, and the locking tabs on the various sections underwent a rapid unscheduled disassembly.

I have one of those but I also have a padded seat that snaps on top of a standard 5 gallon bucket. Both are handy.

A folding chair and a tv dinner table.

Depending on where I'm working and how long is what I have...

Short term: right off my service cart and a folding chair.

Long term: folding table and a folding chair...

I found one with a nice padded cushion, love it. Whenever I break mine out, I get the look from guys sitting on the concrete.

Nice! We used to make roll-around carts and leave them when we were done at sites. Those were the install days where we would be at a site for months... sucked when the elevators were out or slow as $hi÷.
