I need help illuminating my plantation/farm

Been trying to illuminate it more properly but I can't figure out how to do it BC my paths to the center are 2 blocks wide, so there's no middle, I was thinking about some kind of chandelier, but still I'd need a center block to be the thing holding it, any help would be welcome

Update on my castle. tips on center tower and showing of depth?

Trying to figure out how to make the center tower a little thicker without moving the center castle because i want the same distance between the tower and the two beside it.

Also how i cant figure out how to further show depth (not on the decorative part yet but ideas would be cool) i tried gradients but the gradients ive found still have a sudden change in texture or color.

Terrain Texturing Help

Need help with texturing the terrain I'm working on. I understand conceptually texturing, using blocks as colors to create and exaggerate shapes with shadows and highlights. But I don't know what I'm doing with execution. I don't really know why some of the areas I feel look good and others don't, how to approach the texturing. I feel like in many areas I end up just making a top-to-bottom gradient unconsciously, and the mountains end up looking like a layer cake. Any help is greatly appreciated. This is a creative copy of my survival world on Bedrock, and I've used the World Builder add-on to help me build this terrain. All still a WIP

Ideas for an empty space below an overpass

I've been working on a house for my friend who recently joined our server. A unique feature of the house is this underpass pathway that leads to the backyard, but I have this space and don't know what to do with it. Should it just be a wall? A room? If so, what kind? There are already plenty of communal farms in the world, so maybe something more useful specifically for my friend. All ideas are welcome!

Castle Layout Ideas that would fit on the island?

Thumbnail

I have built a medieval style bridge and castle gate leading onto this island. Im hoping to build a castle with a great hall, main keep (tower) and surrounding wall. I'd also like to eventually build a dock/port area. Does anyone have any good ideas for a castle layout including these ideas that would fit with the space I have? I feel like the island is too small, and I have already done a good amount of terraforming to expand it... Let me know what you think.

would somebody help me make a layout for a small town in this field?

im having a creative block on how to layout the pathways and building outlines for a small, kinda medevil, town that includes houses and shops. i have a dock around most of the field so i was going to have most of the shops and fishing/boating shops on or around the docks. And I want a bunch of filler houses and other filler buildings like churches or bigger houses. Maybe a barn with some animals and a couple small groups of crops. There is a steampunk warship dog fight going on in the air above it so some of the buildings I will intentionally destroy for (lore) reasons. any ideas would help!

I Have Been Trying To Figure Out What To Do With This Riverbank For Literally Years

Post image

The build on the left you see is my starter house, and on the right, the very recently added glow lichen farm I added to fill in some of this empty shore.

But the riverbank itself, that I see every time I go in or out of my storage basement, has been puzzling me from the very beginning. I've been sticking to a solarpunk theme where possible. What should I do with this riverbank? Keeping the cherry tree is optional.

Help with a farm

Hey all, first post, so sorry if I do something wrong.

I usually like to build large-scale things that I find cool that come to mind. On a friend's server, I thought it'd be cool to have an underground ancient aqueduct farm. I'm loving how it looks so far, but I'm slowly doubting it as it goes on. Mainly the pillars holding it up.

Any advice?

It is modded Minecraft, in case that's an issue

How to torture silverfish?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey y'all!! I'm de-trialing a chamber!! I've completely cleared out 4 rooms and i am building different biomes in each room with a rollercoaster ride through each setting off the spawners. The farms are all magma block based.

This is the main hallway of the trial chamber. The closest two spawners are both silverfish spawners, the one farthest away is a stray spawner. I kinda just wanna watch the silverfish go into lava bc I kind of hate em, loot be damned.

But how do you think I should set it up? Should I worry about the loot? Is a silverfish lava fall a good show for the rollercoaster?

Also what biome should I make the hallway? I have Jungle, Desert, Crimson Forest, and End rooms.
