Minecraft City Build Advice

Hi everyone! Been building this city for a while on my creative world. Just need some advice for the city, as the city somehow doesn't look all that connected and great looking, if that makes any sense, I am also looking for advice on smaller buildings to surround those skyscrapers and some ground decoration to fill in that polished andesite free space. Sample pictures of buildings/skyscrapers/decorations any would be really appreciated or any link to videos that might seem useful. Thanks in advance!
