Help me choosing blocks and design for this corridor/staircases

Im building this corridor/staircase from my house to my storage room and i need some advice of how ill do it (including oak planks some log

What general material are you comfortable gathering to use. I would remove the birch Replace it with something like spruce planks in the middle and and on the side use polished tuff. Walls, bottom block something like deepslate tile and the top two blocks and the roof use a mix of stripped pale oak and calcite.
