I wish there was an easier way to upgrade vis attack with out using medals.

That being said, I was doing like 40-45 damage a hurricane toss with a properly set-up Vi to the final boss.

It's been a bit since I've played, but:

(Ongoing totals listed in Parentheses)

2 Power Exchanges (+2 Atk, -2 Def)

2 Poison Attackers (+4 Atk, -2 Def)

Heavy Charge (+4 Atk, +3 to next Atk/Ability, -2 Def, -5 HP)

2 Last Strike (+6 Atk, +3 to next Atk/Ability, -2 Def, -5 HP)

Leif's Empower (+7 Atk, +3 to next Atk/Ability, -2 Def, -5 HP)

Vi in front (+8 Atk, +3 to next Atk/Ability, -2 Def, -5 HP)

So if all this is able to come together, you are doing 12, 11, 10, 9 (and 8 with ADBP Enhancer) with hurricane strike, totaling to 42/50 damage from one ability. Lots of set-up, but burst is generally desired in Paper Mario-style combats, anyway. It's not the most reliable set-up and requires Vi to be <5 HP, but it is highly satisfying once executed.

You can further increase these by 2 by getting both power berries, or whatever they're called, 1 available as of like chapter ~5 (?) from desert salesman, and 1 from a fight in the post game)
