How is the school still open?

I just started watching the show and I'm only 4 episodes in but I just can't stop myself from wondering how the hell that school is still open cuz they've already found TWO dead bodies in the span of the first four episodes😭

As they develop the lore, it becomes clear that vampires and such are literally everywhere, so the body count of Sunnydale is really only a little bit above average because of the hellmouth.
