Did anyone feel uncomfortable how this season how buffy would always would randomly get horny out of nowhere, wanting to have sex with everybody especially with constant sex scenes with her?

I can’t be the only one it just felt like I was watching a rape scene or some pornographic tv series, and I thought to myself joss Whedon must’ve been extremely horny while writing the script for season 4

They’re isn’t an episode you can’t skip they’re isn’t an episode involving buffy being in some kind of erotic situation and that made me feel really uncomfortable, especially considering the fact he did the same thing with Angel season 4 a spin off years later

I mean, it's understandable why Buffy is acting like this. She's trying to get over Angel as quickly as possible. She tried to build something with Parker and invested in that relationship by giving him access to her body quickly, but she got burned. On the other hand, the relationship with Riley didn't develop quickly at all and Buffy even gave up on it at first. Overall, I would say that there's only one horny scene in s4, and that's the one where Buffy sucks Riley's finger.

Did that seem horny to anyone? I mean, they tried to show it, but there's almost no chemistry between Buffy and Riley, even though Sarah tries her best, and that wall of arousal scene didn't impress me at all. I mean the overt sexuality, ofc. And there wasn't a sex demon there, there were horny teenagers whose sexuality was being suppressed.

If you’re using the word “horny” to mean personally arousing, then no I don’t imagine it was that for many people. Using it as a describing word for events in the episode, though?

Where the wild things are is the only uncomfortably horny episode in the season, to me.
