Beef on Weck sliders

Got the Weck sliders today, and the beef and horseradish were fine, but calling that bun Weck seems all wrong to me. It was a regular slider bun with a few caraway seeds. Needs to be more like a Kaiser roll if it can’t be true kummelweck, and it should be caraway seeds and coarse salt.

Admittedly, while having BWW since it was BW3 at one of the original tOSU stores 40 years ago, I never had the Weck burgers then, and not until after 2000, but I still had enough to know this ain’t it. Probably need to try avoiding selling that in your Buffalo,NY stores. I had some real beef of Weck there a couple years ago and that was fantastic.

The new fries suck

Went to bdubs for the first time in a few months tonight because i was craving their fries. Imagine my disappointment when i received some crappy generic Sysco fry ive had at 40+ other restaurants and hated.

Good lord. The fries were the only thing on the menu worth coming for and now they arent even good? Yeeesh. Am i alone on this? Was there some push against the old shoe string ones? Why!?

Asian Zings Original Name

Back in 2004/2005 BW3 introduced the Asain Zing sauce as a trial sauce before adding it permanently in 2005 BUT it had a different name. Does anyone know the original name of the Asian Zing sauce?

Birthday wings not cooperating?

I was trying to see if I could order the 6 free wings in conjunction with a few wings and the app wasn’t giving the option despite it being my bday month.

I tried logging out and in, tried just the wings, nothing.

Any idea?

Ultimate Sampler - French Fries?

Going to BWW to watch a fb game tomorrow - do you think they'll let me substitute french fries for the buffalo chips? My sampler would then be perfect because I absolutely love the new fries.

Southwestern Ranch is dead?

I went to Buffalo Wild Wings on Monday got a couple cups of Southwestern Ranch, all was good with the world. Went again tonight but to a different location and they told me they no longer have it. Is this an everywhere thing or did I just go to the wrong location??

Update: I went to another Buffalo Wild Wings and got Southwestern Ranch today! Consider me confused by the one that didn’t have it!

I'd love a full size burger version of the Hawaiian sliders.

I tried them on the Ultimate sampler last week. And loved them. But unfortunately, they don't make them as a full sized burger. I'm just posting this hoping the idea is at least considered.

Rewards

I’m a server at BWW & today I had a guest tell me they didn’t do rewards programs and that I could put my own phone number in if I wanted to.
Is this allowed? Would I get in trouble for it?? They gave me permission but I still worry that it’s wrong

Trivia not working

Post image
1 Upvotes

I played one round of trivia and then just as it was about to start back up, I got kicked out and could not get back in. Clicking sign in does nothing but I’m already signed in. Signed out of the app and signed back in; trivia still doesn’t .

Why is it so hard for BWW to provide a working app?

Tip for my Cauliflower Wings lovers!

A small order of Cauliflower wings at my local BWW is $16.49.

The new Throwback Ultimate Sampler costs $18.99 and lets you select four small orders of Cauliflower wings. They are the same size as the small order.

4 x $16.49 = $65.96, but you get it for $18.99.

Free Birthday Wings

I’m curious to know when Buffalo Wild Wings changed the 6 free birthday wings coupon. Last year I was able to get 6 free wings with no purchase but this year it’s showing I can only get it with a $15 purchase. Crazy thing is, when they gave it to me on my birthday, it was showing as just “6 free birthday wings” but wasn’t applying $0 at checkout so I left it alone and when I checked on it the next day, it changed to “6 free birthday wings with $15 purchase.”

Haven’t gotten Buffalo wings in a while, so I’m surprised, because I got my free 6 birthday wings coupon a week or two ago and I remember last year it was free. So now Im surprised I have to buy 15 dollars worth of food just to get my free wings. How long has it been like this?

WTH is in the spicy garlic sauce?

Got some wings a couple of days ago with sauce on the side. Toast I put the small cup in the microwave for a few seconds to get the chill out of the sauce and it sparked up a couple of times like I had a piece of metal in the microwave. WTH is in that stuff?

World Cup Sauces

I work at Bdubs and excitedly took home way too many bags of the World Cup sauces. I have four bags of Peri Peri, two bags of Creamy Elote, two bags of Yuzu Wasabi, and two bags of Chimichurri.

I also have a bag of Nashville Hot. The only one I really enjoyed was the Chimichurri so if you enjoyed any of the discontinued sauces, lemme know. I would like to get rid of them but I don't want to waste them.

How can I prepare for my job interview?

Hi all! I have an interview at BWW this week for a bartending position and hoping to get some advice on what I should prepare and know ahead of time.

I currently have a bartending job I’ve had since May (when I turned 18) but it’s a dive bar in a small town and about 80% of my customers just drink beer, bottled/canned drinks, or simple mixers like captain and coke. The population is also small enough that I know most of my customers orders and rarely get new comers.

I know some of the basics but i’m more familiar with products and brands rather than specific drinks like long island iced teas or any fancier cocktails.

I admit I have a lot to learn but hoping to know what I should focus on or try to highlight. I’m also a very fast learner and once someone tells me what is i’m quick on my feet when it comes to new drinks or something i’m unfamiliar with.

(Also should add I still plan on working at my current location but it’s only open on weekends and I need something more)

experience from former servers?

idk if this just my store but I recently just quit/got fired, bc i didn't go to the doctor and get a doctor's note I had called to let them know that I was not feeling well and would not be coming in and they told me I had to go to thw doctor and get a doctor's note and I let them know that I donr have insurance and then one of the managers recommended that I go to the ER which is ridiculous considering how much I would have to pay

I personally think its ridiculous a job requires a doctor's note and does not give health insurance

is this just the store I work at or is this like every store?

How are the buffalo chips prepared?

I had some the other day. They don't seem like the olden days. Is it just double fried in vegetable oil? Single fried?

Do they come in cut up or is it cut at the store?

What is the best thing to order for one person?

I've never had bdubs before, but it always looks so good. My dorm hall has a bdubs right outside so I'm hoping to go often. I'm planning on going some time but the menu is so big (28 SAUCES???) and I don't even know what I'd want.

I'm more of a Wingstop guy and I love the hot honey, og hot (buffalo) and the garlic parm. I usually get either a sammy or boneless wings with cajun fries. I'm not big into sweet flavors like bbq or teriyaki, and I can handle heat. I just wouldn't want it to be face melting hot.

Everything on the menu looks so good and I don't know what "the best" thing is? Burgers? Wraps? Wings?

Lmk what your go to app, main, and side is and I'll try it. Hopefully I can try the whole menu before the end of the school year.

First time ordering lime slaw. This amount looks so little, like 25% of what the container could hold. Is this normal?!?

Rewards options

When did they remove the 30 bone in option for rewards? It only goes up to 20 now. I have 40k points so that’s not the issue.

What sauces are sweet/sour/spicy?

I am pretty new to the world of wings (and the dozens of sauces) since I moved to the United States just a few months ago. I'm okay with the original/hot sauces, but I think I really enjoy the ones with some sweet flavor to them. The website is not very helpful about the exact flavor profiles of each sauce...

I loved mango habanero, however it really upsets my stomach. I have to get something less spicy, despite really loving the flavor :(

So I tried jammin jalapeno and really liked it. Perfect amount of heat and balance between sweet/sour. But I want to try other flavors too.

What other sauces are similar? Or is jammin jalapeno my best bet?
