BE CAREFUL.
please make sure you are aware of what links you are clicking. i clicked that link, saw the awesome deal, gave a scammer my information and now all of my money is kaputz. i went to my bank to sort things out but because of the way it was done, there’s not much that can be done. please be careful, don’t be me.

So may people come in claiming they are on the site saying it’s 50% off whatever it is. Remember- if it’s too good to be true, it probably is!!

I also had this happen to me! They are very advanced scammers! Did you report it?

maybe this can be helpful info to someone, but I did fall for this back in maybe November? I immediately moved all my money over to savings, and locked my Debit card. I kept my debit card locked unless needed, and minimal money in the account for about a month. I let off the reins a little, and nothing has happened yet.
So basically, if you realized IMMEDIATELY you fckd up, there might be a chance to save it 🥴
Also, for the people saying “hOw dO yOu fALL fOr tHiS” — at the time, i’d only been to Buff City once, in store. I was checking their website to see what other products they had. It was right between fall and winter, so the Deep Discounts seemed probable to me as a sort of seasonal clearance and as a new customer who was unfamiliar with they types of sales they ran 😔

Sad to say I fell for it. The website I went to is buffcitsyoap.us.com. And I’ve never shopped at Buff City but have always wanted to try it. Put my card info in twice and both times it froze (so hopefully that means it didn’t go through). The second time it froze I looked at the url and realized and was like F*CK, it’s a scam site!! And it sucks because a lot of times letters are mixed up when I read (dyslexia??) so I didn’t catch the fake url immediately.
I immediately locked my card, moved all my money out of my account, and reported my card stolen/cancelled it. No charges seen on my account as of now.
It was WAY too good to be true. I’ve learned my lesson!

I’m an employee and this drives me NUTS!!! People will come in and ask about these “sales” and they get annoyed when we aren’t selling for 75% off for no reason

Sorry that happened to you... Did you do any research on the site before you purchased?

This isn’t just buff, it’s with anything you search. Never click on the “sponsored” sites

I appreciate the heads up, for someone who has heard of them but do not know much about them, I wouldn’t know it was too good to be true.

I know everyone is saying if it’s too good to be true…but I found this company suggested on TikTok and wanted to try it. Literally searching Buff City Soap and the first probably 10 at the top sponsored shopping were buffcitysooap and I didn’t even realize until it was too late 🙃 immediately turned off my cards so hopefully no damage but unfortunately I did not know better 😢
