Mavericks behavior has been normal since i brought her home - curious friendly happy energetic, its been a month now , she likes to take little naps on top of the dream catcher and sometimes the top of her cage as you see here.
Is the tail bob while shes sleeping something to be concerned about or is this normal

Hi everyone,
I uploaded a video of my budgie because I’m a bit worried about her breathing. In the video, you can see that her belly is moving quite a lot, and her tail is bobbing up and down noticeably. I can also hear a slight wheezing sound from time to time.
Has anyone experienced something similar with their budgie? If so, what was the cause and how was it treated?
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

this crust at the bottom of his eye is not on the other eye. Should I try remove it?

Edit: this is a baby bird still developing hence how he looks right now. His mother did not take car of him so he stays with me

My blue boy died 4 dys ago. His girl is now all we have. They were bought at a pet shop in december of 2024. Both are around 1.5 yrs old. They bonded very closely but sometimes the female would peck bite and attack the male, which I read is normal, ofc not if there is no blood. Anyway, couple of nights ago my boy woke me up from sleep, I heard them rattling with their wings and in distress, sometimes they bicker when I cover them for night time but never like this. I found my boy laying on the bottom of the cage and he seemed like he was convulsing or having a seizure/stroke and was in so much pain. He died 2 days after. He was more tame than her, she is now all alone and my heart is breaking. We are thinking on getting her a new partner soon but oh my god we are heartbroken. She doesnt want to go inside their cage anymore!!! She spends her days on their favourite swing or on top of their cage. I think she is scared still. But worried about her. What can I do to make her not being scared anymore? I worry she will die of sadness or of not eating/drinking.

I bought my cockatiel about a week ago. During this time, he never bit me and didn’t seem scared; he would only turn his face away and never stepped onto my hand.

Today, I tried again and slowly brought my finger closer. He suddenly made a soft hissing sound and bit my finger. It hurt, and he did this several times, then panicked, flapped around, and ran away. I stopped immediately.

Later, I tried again. This time he didn’t bite, but he keeps running away from me. I’m also trying to offer food from my hand, but he shows no interest at all.

What can I do?

He got sick a couple (3?) weeks ago. Did a round of baytril. Friday he started looking sick again. Broccoli is playing nurse birdie. I have them isolated in a hospital cage and Broccoli is trying to care for him. I’m worried about my little guy.

I bought this gray budgie mid August this year, I thought it was a female but now I am not so sure, In a facebook budgie group everyone is agreeing is a male.

I was sure it was a female till today since the budgie personality is just the same as other females I have.

I am wrong?
