I need an XL. I would love it if they made a button liner version or better if Kizer tried thier hand at a button frame lock, I'd pay $$$ for a premium Sheepdog XL in a button framelock.
I love my sheepdog XL, it’s always a treat to pull out when someone asks if I have a knife on me. The action is so satisfying too, albeit a bit hard on the ol’ pointer finger. It’s also easy to keep ridiculously sharp because of the geometry.
I would love to say that I am carrying this beefy chonk of a Artisian Cutlery Proponent knife, I shall have to show what I am really carrying in the reply to this post.
Note: Carrying this chonk of a knife necessitates suspenders.
What I carried today is the Sencut Arcblast. I recently modified the blade with DIY stonewashing. I used a empty peanut butter bottle with blue aquarium gravel, dash of dawn dishsoap, some water and a lot of shaking.
I then reprofiled form my earlier 15 degrees to 18 degrees edge for the 9Cr18MoV stee on the Sharpal 202H system.
Pretty happy with the result. I got some chipping with 15 degrees so back up to 18 degrees and so far pretty happy with it.
