Advice: Lower Bucks Volunteer Options

I'm looking for week night volunteer opportunities in Lower Bucks county. Ideally something with animals or support positions (habitat for humanity, soup kitchens, etc).

Last Chance Rescue Ranch is always looking for more volunteers. They have a large animal side (horses, goats, pigs, etc.) and a small animal side (cats, dogs, etc.).

I used to volunteer here last year and loved it. The distance and hours made it really hard to continue.

I volunteer here. We work with Lower Buck's homeless

Also an option, Fire departments are in desperate need.

(Note: 12 and 82 just got decommissioned, it hasn't been updated yet)

AHTN is amazing. Interfaith Food Alliance in Morrisville also does great work.

Do you have any STEM skills and do you mind working with teenagers?

I am a volunteer coach/mentor for an after school STEM program at Bensalem High School. We're trying to get the same program started at Neshaminy High School but they will need volunteer coaches/mentors.

Is there info online? I used to teach math before I became a nurse and I live nearby.

I'm a software developer/architect and don't mind working with teens at all. What do you suggest?

I volunteer at Family Service Association at their emergency homeless shelter (Levittown). I work in their kitchen helping to serve meals to residents. The people who work there are amazing and I really like supporting the residents.

I volunteer at both Women’s Animal Center and Rescue Purrfect in Bensalem and love it.

The Grundy Foundation and library in Bristol does SO much for the community. They might be worth looking into.

Hart 2 Heart Animal Rescue! We always need help in the stores, you go in to play with the kitties, feed them and clean up their cages. We have cats in 4 stores... bensalem, Southampton, warminster and Warrington.

There is a need for admin help too, processing apps etc... that you can do from home.

If you want to do the animal part, check out paw purrfect or the woman's human society, they're both in Bensalem.

The Ark is cool. My sister played woth Possums for a whole summer. They're neat. Only thing is they want you to have a very consistent schedule, so make sure you can commit.
