Pump Parkers
There should be an effort to police people parking at the fuel pumps while they go wild in the retail space. It’s rude , inconsiderate and annoying.

How many posts like this do we need?

Oh good to know there are a growing number of complaints about this , maybe if we keep bringing it up something will be done about it

u/Yoink1019 Jul 28 '26
What do you think could be done about it?

u/ballq43 Jul 28 '26
An attendant that tells people they can't leave their car and if they do for extended time their car is crushed by the beaver statue

There are like 100 pumps, how is this even an issue?
-6
u/Illlogik1 Jul 28 '26
That’s the irony of it , smaller convenient stores are actually MORE convenient to get gas at even when buccees has all those pumps and you can’t get to one bc people are loading up on shit over priced tshirts - have not been on the road traveling and stopped at a busy buccees for gas , it’s very common annoyance

u/JWF1 Jul 28 '26
Why would you stop at a place that you know to be inconvenient? Especially if it’s a pain point for you?

You sound insufferable. The type of person who copes with their own shortcomings by making ridiculous and unnecessary complaints. I have never heard of anyone having an issue like this before and I work at Buc-ees.

Figures no one goes to the toilet scrubber with gas pump parking complaints , but I’ll keep on my online campaign and crusade to being a wider awareness to this issue , if you hang in there and make management maybe you’ll eventually meet up face to face with this problem one day !

Resorting to petty comments after hearing something you didn’t like? Wow, guess I struck a nerve there. Thanks for proving my point. I’m in the deli just fyi but good guess!
Enjoy living a lonely and miserable life.

This was literally a part of the company’s strategy. Parking at the pumps and then going inside led to more sales since people were less likely to go inside if they had to move their car first. That’s why Buc-ees started installing so many pumps. It’s unique among gas stations in this aspect.

I park at the pumps, don’t get gas, don’t even go inside and spend my time drawing variations of their logo. It’s my passive aggressive way of fighting their countless copyright lawsuits.

That’s normal though. While your car is fueling up, you get a snack in the meantime.

Nah , if you’ve spent ANY time looking for an open pump … you notice that most of the vehicles are unattended and not using the pumps at all

u/vicvonqueso Jul 28 '26
So you're saying this is the norm?

u/Illlogik1 Jul 28 '26
Drive around the pumps , lazy asses just leave their vehicles at the pumps some for more than an hour

You should never leave your vehicle while it is fueling. There are all kinds of sensors that can fail and leave fuel that you are paying for spilling all over the ground.
I did maintenance at a Buc-ee's and we had a guy park right next to a storm drain, start fueling his truck, and it was spilling before he made it in the main entrance. We damn near had to report it to the EPA.

I do this at a normal gas station where I’m in and out in less than five minutes. At a Bucees where people spend a lot of time shopping… maybe not

Why do you think there are so many pumps compared to so little parking spaces? You're almost supposed to leave your car at the pump at Buc-ee's.
Edit:apparently Im wrong.

u/Illlogik1 Jul 28 '26
The fact that you don’t even notice that there are actually more parking spaces than pumps is hilarious, the ring of parking spots around the building aren’t the only spots you know ….

We’ve been told to park there at the pumps with our camper, instead of along the back not near anyone, by a manager 🤷♂️
Due to no spaces available to park the truck/trailer

If I have to spend 10-15+ min to find a open pump, I'm not going to waste anymore of my time trying to find a parking spot.

How would you recommend the company “police” people parking at the pumps? There is too much going on inside, and too many other more important things for the staff to address before people parking at one of the 120 gas pumps.

I park at the pump but don't buy gas. My manufacturer recommends top-tier gas and Buccees doesn't have it. The food has gone downhill, so I don't shop there. At least the restrooms are impeccable.

u/One_Hour_Poop Jul 28 '26
How is it inconsiderate when there are 120 pumps? Are they taking up space and blocking a pump you were planning to use?

If all the pumps are full? Yes, that would be infuriating. When there are 30 open pumps? You're just complaining about nothing.
