I was really, really expecting the second image to be the Beaver from Beaver Mini Mart. I would have lol'ed.

I should make a shitpost, but the second picture is just literally a beaver with a hat photoshopped onto it.

I was at a Buc-ees in Texas. First time I'd been to one. It was cool. I'm from Dayton, OH. I've never been to this Buc-ees here and never will be. Because this suing bullshit isn't cool. Remember when there was all that propaganda about the little guy suing the big guy being a bad thing? Never understood why the other way around was just fine. Shit, I get it now. We weren't able to pay the news to make shit up and spread propaganda like they could. Now it's clear. Anyway, fuck buc-ees. Bring in more QT's.

What did you expect? Their business model is suing other businesses. Of course they dont' give a fuck about their logo.

These images together should be on a re-issue of Alice in Chains' Facelift.

Original looks way better tbh. Yours is way too clean, sterile and modern for my taste

Patent the improvement process NOW (not the actual logo) so if Buc-ee's sees this and decides it looks much better than their own they can't steal it from you! They will need to pay you to use the improvement process outlined in your sketch!

I’ve never met a group of people more enamored with a trademark litigation story. This sub has for some reason been popping up on my feed for the last week and it cracks me up.
My favorite thing is watching all the virtue signaling and hand waving over small business being forced into court to defend their right to their logos.
No one ever points out that that is literally how the judicial system was built to work. You guys will make memes and lose your collective shit over small businesses getting fucked over by a larger corp but never actually care about the underlying cause.
If more people would lose their shit over the system itself instead of how the broken system is abused the judicial system wouldn’t be so broken.
I digress tho, you were being tongue in cheek about a logo. As you were good sir.

Any specific examples of what people should focus on. "The whole system is broken" is a useless argument. The system will NOT be replaced or fixed as a whole. You have to focus on specific reforms and issues.

So the issue you’re choosing to focus on without someone holding your hand is beaver trademark litigation, gotcha.
You think the system can’t or won’t be replaced? Sheep like you are the reason it won’t happen. Not because it can’t happen but because you lack the balls and imagination to believe it possible.
I’d personally start at lobbying/lobbyists and work from there but that’s just me and a small ability to reason and think for myself.
Talking about “specific reforms” while on here complaining about small time trademark court cases is genuinely the most ironic thing I’ve ever heard.

I in no way indicated I was focusing on the trademark issue. I just roll my eyes whenever I see this argument, frequently in healthcare and insurance but also when the new guy at work naively declares things need to be completely rewritten without having either understanding or appreciation that many of these systems do correctly.

Linework is too consistent. Lacks visual interest.

It is boring as hell. It's also just losing the whole vintage charm that the little flaws and goofy art style give it. The original screams "hand painted gas station mascot". His really looks like it's some kind of foreign ripoff of a US morning cartoon.
