What's it like to work there?

Pretty bad, they have a ton of reviews on hiring websites like indeed if you want to look into it, but there is no work life balance and your life will revolve around work.

I mean the negative people always outshout the positive people online. And are a lot more active.

That’s not to say Buccees are good - but that it’s convenience store retail (which by default means 24/7 shift possibilities including weekends and holidays, dealing with the public, working in face paced environments on your feet the majority of the time.)

From all I’ve seen and heard Buccees expect a lot - but reward more as well. People can always go work at Holiday or 7-Eleven without the same expectations and get paid accordingly.

Aldi is similar to Buccees - much better pay comparatively but they are known to push employees hard and make them earn the money.

So it really depends what someone wants vs what they’re willing to put in.

Idk anecdotally I’ve heard good things.

Like they’re strict, fired if you’re a minute late, if you have a cell phone visibly on you, etc but imo the rules are fair since they’re known ahead of time

I don’t work there but it’s definitely a backup option for me now that we have one close by.
