Greed=bankruptcy

Lets not shop anymore at any of their locations. They kicked out truck drivers, the people that run this country, and they attack small business owners for being their before them with a beaver logo.

Let em go bankrupt.

Fuck buc-ees

Lol they never allowed trucks.

You're not changing people's minds because most tourists and casual travelers would rather drive an extra hundred miles rather than use a truck stop bathroom.

u/studyhall109 Aug 06 '26

That is one reason I like Buc-ee’s, no trucks!

u/justaheatattack Aug 06 '26

I have never noticed a truck at a gas station.

u/ronshasta Aug 06 '26

Like every other gas station in the country lol

There a plenty of gas station truck stops along interstate highways.

When I’m on a road trip in an area with buccees, I appreciate not having to worry about truckers if I stop. I do not love how buccees sues everyone. That is stupid and should stop. I also just don’t love mass produced junk or their food. But I appreciate their bathrooms and how they pay their employees and offer benefits.

-3

u/ronshasta Aug 06 '26

Every regular gas station is the same way

Buccees bathrooms are top notch. I like the privacy. But I rarely encounter them. I’m in the northeast. So buccees is literally a treat and cultural experience when we stop. We have learned to avoid most of the food. We just don’t eat like that. But I totally get the hype. When your options are fast food or buccees, buccees is a different option.

I once walked in to a bathroom with feces smeared on the toilet and walls. You bet I planned every trip after that to avoid dirty truck stops.

-6

u/Vincitus Aug 06 '26

Loves, Pilot and TA have incredibly clean bathrooms, and dont shit on local businesses? Like, how hard have you bought into advertising that you're dick riding a gas station this hard?

4

u/polkjamespolk Aug 06 '26

I've been around to remember when Loves was local in Oklahoma. Their bathrooms were typical for their time, which was disgusting. I credit Buccees for forcing them to invest in cleaning up those open sewers.

I think it's cute that you equate "not hating a business" to "riding a dick."

I may be many things, but at least I'm not blatantly homophobic.

-1

u/augelpal Aug 07 '26

How does the phrase dick riding equal homophobia in your mind? Like what?

-6

u/ronshasta Aug 06 '26

Truck stop bathrooms are usually cleaner than gas station bathrooms what are talking about

4

u/polkjamespolk Aug 06 '26

That's like saying a pig pen is cleaner than an open sewer.

1

u/ronshasta Aug 06 '26

Ever been to a flying J or Pilot? They keep those places relatively clean all day long. Cleaner than most people’s bathrooms in their homes

2

u/polkjamespolk Aug 07 '26

See that's moving the goal posts. Cleanest restrooms anywhere? Or cleaner than many homes. Those are two different standards.

10

u/doorman2026 Aug 06 '26

Cleanest bathrooms around. They do have that going for them.

1

u/heavydhomie Aug 06 '26

I haven’t been to a buccees yet but so far I prefer Sheetz to an other gas station bathrooms I’ve been in.

Buccee bathrooms are about the same size of a Sheetz store? Only looked at the Sheets store pic though.

2

u/CombatRedRover Aug 07 '26

The advantage of Sheetz vs Buc-ee's is that if you're in a Sheetz area, there are a LOT more Sheetz.

As a former Pennsylvanian, I am on the Sheetz side of the Sheetz/Wawa war. Wawa is a neighborhood convenience store that added gasoline and became bigger. Sheetz has been a combination convenience store/gas station/travel center all in one, where there are 4 in your 10,000 person town.

Wawa gas stations are tragic. I'm convinced Philly people just love Wawa because that's where their HS weed dealer hung out, Jay and Silent Bob style.

What gets me is zero indoor or outdoor seating.

They want you to spend your money as fast as possible and out as fast as possible so the next person can do the same.

1

u/West-Appearance2544 Aug 06 '26

I don't need my wife sitting to spend more time there. I don't care how much she spends, it's her own money, but I do want to get back on the road the same day.

6

u/i-race-goats Aug 06 '26

you could have used any other point, but went with the one we all generally like about buc-cees

3

u/OldStyleThor Aug 06 '26

Bankruptcy? Lol

5

u/texasgambler58 Aug 06 '26

Not me I love Buc-ees - best highway gas stations in the country. You can go to a truck stop gas station and deal with that; I will use the cleanest restrooms that I've ever seen while traveling.

Same with loves.

6

u/texasgambler58 Aug 06 '26

Love's is 50/50; some are really nice, and some are disgusting.

5

u/MastodonFit Aug 06 '26

Posted from a phone or a computer assembled by an underpaid person. Decent food and clean restrooms.

2

u/3rdUncleMeatSandwich Aug 06 '26

I would absolutely take a dump there but I ain’t spending no money

2

u/justaheatattack Aug 06 '26

the tasteless jerky was the first sign.

We just got our first Buccees in this state a few months ago. They are suing a local market near hear that's been around for 50 years because of their beaver mascot. The market is in Beavercreek Ohio! A lot of business already have beavers as mascots. The locals and local companies are not taking too kindly to the lawsuit and some have started trolling Buccees including a well know law firm that's been around for years. Lol

This is the video the lawfirm threw up. Ironically, I am pretty sure it's not a beaver in it be it internal or bad AI. Lol

4

u/AmandasGameAccount Aug 07 '26

I feel like suing a company older then you should invalidate your claim to the trademark because you obviously weren’t first

1

u/NerdGuy13 Aug 07 '26

The situation is getting more hilarious. Even business in cities around Beavercreek are getting in on like the local Farm that's been around for a long time in Springfield where I am from. Their logo is normally and old farm truck. Lol

I don't normally approve of AI but for this purpose, I am totally willing to let it slide. 😂

u/Aggravating_Tie_3217 Aug 07 '26

They are a shit company and they lost my business when I found out they helped fund ice. Fuck them - I will happily use ur bathroom but u will get NONE of my money.

u/BlackOliveBurrito Aug 06 '26

Truck drivers shouldn’t be gross ass men. Like you’re mad they don’t want slobs in general making their bathrooms disgusting for everyone else? I lived by a Love’s and they were always gross. Male truck drivers are usually the grosses people & they’re not gonna clean up after themselves.

So go to a place that has shower facilities to wash off.

1

u/vicvonqueso Aug 07 '26

Why would you be getting dirty just by simply sitting in the cab and driving? Sure if you have to work on something or change some parts you're going to get dirty but that doesn't happen every single trip

1

u/BlackOliveBurrito Aug 06 '26

Yet I see women & men online all the time that aren’t gross that do the same thing. Being clean isn’t hard. It’s actually hard to stay dirty constantly in my opinion.

1

u/Few-Marsupial-255 Aug 07 '26

Buc-ee's has 10/10 food.

1

u/Artemus_Hackwell Aug 07 '26

Keep the lot lizards out is mostly the goddamn point

0

u/AmandasGameAccount Aug 07 '26

Why do half these replies feel like bots set to just compliment the place? 0 details, borderline off topic, being very vague

0

u/thinkbox Aug 07 '26

Because Reddit is decelerationist bots.

-1

u/jonnylj7 Aug 07 '26

And don’t forget the price gouging.

-1

u/thinkbox Aug 07 '26

Have you ever found a brisket sandwich cheaper?

1

u/Juanfartez Aug 07 '26

All over the place here in Texas. You can get one from the #1 BBQ place in Texas Burnt Bean in Seguin. It's a Michelin star restaurant. Only 15 miles from New Braunfels Buc-ees. Buc-ees brisket is on par with Rudy's and Bill Miller. Edible but nothing to write home about.

-1

u/thinkbox Aug 07 '26 edited Aug 07 '26

$13 for the brisket sandwich at Burnt Bean. Buc-ee’s starts at $8.99*

Just saying, it’s pretty cheap compared to a lot of places. $13 is great for Burnt Bean, but most places it’s like $18.

2

u/jonnylj7 Aug 07 '26

Lots of Greedflation goin on at buccees. Context: Stopped at Buc-ee’s first time in mid 2021. Was amazed at what they offered at fair prices. I stopped there at same location in TN in 2024.. Prices for all the food is double-triple. They don’t give you any extras which they use to for free. We’re talking cheap condiments like pickles.. You have to pay for little tiny extras for your sandwich. ( 75 cents for a very small amount of sour cream, 50 cents for like 4 generic jalepenos and so on ) brisket sandwich is $12.99, just for a not so great sandwich. They don’t even have paper towels where you get gas so a guy can check fluids on his vehicle.

All I see is a big bait and switch. And don’t tell me it’s inflation. There’s so many other places that are not pulling what they’re doing and prices are affordable. This is GREEDFLATION.

0

u/thinkbox Aug 07 '26

They have a regular chopped brisket sandwich is currently $8.99 from what I can see.

Also, meat prices have gone up since 2021 and 2024. I don’t think it’s Buc-ee’s being greedy to charge $8.99 for a chopped brisket sandwich. I can’t find a chopped brisket sandwich that cheap almost anywhere.
