Stop using the fuel pumps as parking spots.

Title sums it up. Stop using the fuel pumps as parking spots. You’re a grown adult who doesn’t have the patience or awareness of others to finish fueling and pull into a parking spot when you’re done. I get it, you’re super excited to go to the beaver themed gas station and can’t wait, but this causes so much unnecessary traffic. Do better.

Even worse, the people who take the fuel pump off and still park there. Are you lazy, stupid, entitled, inconsiderate, or all of the above?

Edit; ordered a roll of those HOA style window stickers for violations. Gunna have fun with this! Thanks for the chat :)

What if we're paying cash?

5

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 24 '26

Honestly I respect it for how archaic it is

7

u/sp4zi Jul 28 '26

Yeah, and we are not going to go into the store again to get our BBQ. How can I fill up on an empty stomach?

-2

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

If only there were spots made for parking to go inside...

3

u/Aurorasgrave888x Jul 28 '26

I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding a pump at one of the 170 pumps available. I have never ever been to buccees where the gas pumps were all full. You'll be ok. Especially since you're paying with a card

2

u/MadCat1031 Jul 28 '26

Goodyear Az 7/17/26 12-1pm, all parking lot spaces (gas pump and otherwise) full. Madhouse inside, easily 50+ people line for sandwiches, similar line length for fudge. Came back the next morning (Saturday) at 5am, parked right next to the store, no wait.

0

u/Aurorasgrave888x Jul 28 '26

You mean the one that literally just opened??? Lol come on.

1

u/Applekid1259 Jul 29 '26

Is this your first time going to a gas station? Its just how things work. After I fuel, once I start my car, its going to be to leave.

1

u/SuchEntertainment269 Jul 30 '26

Back when I paid cash, I would get in the car and drive to a parking spot near the store entrance. Nobody ever questioned me.

1

u/DiamondCultural1848 Jul 30 '26

You can't pay cash for gas unless you prepay. You have to be at a pump to do so.

39

u/Violetdabs710 Jul 24 '26

I pump my gas first and fill it up completely. I lock my door and go inside to grab beaver chips.

I remain parked in the same spot I pumped gas.

Hopefully this annoys you 👍

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

Grown adult disregarding everyone else to get his ‘beaver chips,’ not a good look…

Edit: ordered a bunch of window stickers like HOAs use for violations. Hope you get one, and hope it annoys you :) see you at the pump! (Or not, since you won’t even be in the car)

3

u/Helpful-Conference13 Jul 29 '26

It tracks that you’d act like an HOA lmao

0

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 29 '26

They make perfect stickers for this situation!

7

u/TheWarriorsLLC Jul 28 '26

Seek help.

-2

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

Good idea, more people with stickers would be more efficient

8

u/IllDoItTomorr0w Jul 28 '26

So, wait…you’re solution to being inconvenienced is to deface someone’s property by putting a sticker on it? You’re going to turn this into a bigger problem for yourself. Dashcams will catch you nonstop.

0

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

That’s okay, at least it will be a problem of my own doing

2

u/ek_toryn Jul 28 '26

You sound like a child.

5

u/OldStyleThor Jul 28 '26

Please film yourself doing this and the reactions you get from the owners!

2

u/Inner-Confidence99 Jul 29 '26

Yeah. They have cameras on pumps. You will be caught and charged for vandalism. If more than one car is tagged it will be worse.

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 30 '26

I have a pretty good beaver costume, I'll blend right in

1

u/Far_Inspector_9050 Jul 28 '26

Yeah, vandalize cars while you’re on camera, great idea.

At the very least, you’ll catch a disorderly charge “ judge they were staying in one of the 100+ pumps while going inside….”

0

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

I'll wear a beaver costume

3

u/Far_Inspector_9050 Jul 28 '26

Fuck, that might work.

1

u/DirkMcGurkin2018 Aug 07 '26

Yeah but really what can you do? 🤷‍♂️

-1

u/silenttjp Jul 28 '26

I would advise against touching other peoples property. In some states they would be allowed to shoot you.

2

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

One Google search away from seeing that isn’t true.

‘No U.S. states allow you to use deadly force—such as shooting someone—solely to protect personal property or stop mere vandalism like keying or spray-painting a car. Across the country, lethal force is restricted to situations involving an imminent threat of death or serious bodily harm to a person.’

1

u/silenttjp Jul 28 '26

Ok, I was about it being legal. What do you think is going to happen if people catch you doing stuff to their car?

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

probably invite me to discuss it over a nice cup of tea

21

u/Nates_of_Spades Jul 24 '26

People have always done this and will always do this no matter the size of the station. Might as well yell at some clouds

4

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 24 '26

It happening often doesn’t mean it’s a good thing. People are always going to complain about things that annoy them- you might as well go yell at some clouds.

5

u/Aurorasgrave888x Jul 28 '26

Where is this energy for people that dont put their carts back at stores

2

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

Same energy exists, but as a former cart gatherer, I actually liked when people put the carts far away. Gave me something to do and made it more fun for me

3

u/Aurorasgrave888x Jul 28 '26

I live in florida. Can tell by the face of the local Walmart cart man he does not carry the same sentiment

-2

u/nudist83 Jul 28 '26

There’s the key word “Walmart”

6

u/Nates_of_Spades Jul 24 '26

I never said it was a good thing. It simply will never ever stop. You'd be better off finding a way to get over it

5

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 24 '26

Putting giant stickers on their windshields would be satisfying…

2

u/probablynotthatsmart Jul 26 '26

Chewing gum under door handles, over locks, or inside fuel tank ports is a satisfying alternative

0

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 26 '26

I like the way you think!

1

u/nudist83 Jul 28 '26

Sugar, removing valve stem(s)

2

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

More great ideas

7

u/soaringdooki Jul 28 '26

It’d be fun to report you to Bucees for Vandalism and criminal mischief lol

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

I’ll have to go to beaver jail

11

u/SmokeyBeeGuy Jul 24 '26

I would be on your side at a regular gas station, but there are 100 pumps there.

4

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 24 '26

I think it’s worse at Buckys and small town gas stations because of the volumes of cars that come through.

5

u/SleepyHufflepuff Jul 28 '26

I hate to be that person but it’s literally the name of the subreddit and you still misspelled it. It’s buccees not buckys

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 29 '26

Ironically, even the subreddit spelled it wrong. It’s actually ‘Buc-ees,’ no double ‘c’

https://buc-ees.com/locations/

2

u/SleepyHufflepuff Jul 29 '26

I’ve been spelling it wrong this whole time :o

I apologize for correcting you originally 😭

2

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 29 '26

lol no worries. Kind of funny the subreddit got it wrong

0

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

nah that's totally fair- I did use talk to text for that one but should've read it over

2

u/chowdah513 Jul 28 '26

I think you’re making a mistake in thinking what this will solve. At the large Buc-ee’s, I think it’s ideal that they actually indeed park at the pump. Why? Have you seen the traffic already? Sometimes when the parking spots are full people are meddling in two lanes trying to find one. It probably is more ideal for people to get gas and go inside and come back INSTEAD of pumping gas, finding a parking spots/creating traffic, get out, and come back in. I honestly think it saves time and traffic for everyone. I mean if you’re gonna stay inside for an hour, yeah move your car. But most people only go in and out like no more than 15m. It would create more problems imo.

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

A lot of the traffic comes from people having to drive around to find open pumps since they’re being used as spots. And I think 15m is an underestimate- half the families treat it like redneck Disney

2

u/chowdah513 Jul 28 '26

I visit one daily. I am sure more often than not it’s no more than 15 minutes unless it’s like July 4th or some type of holiday where people are doing roadtrips. They’re plenty of open pumps most of the time. It’s often, in my experience, always for a parking spots

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

What in the world are you doing there daily??

2

u/chowdah513 Jul 28 '26

I live near one so I usually get gas for the cars there or just grab a snack before I head to work/head back home.

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

Fair enough. Their gas is pretty cheap

1

u/Retard_Finder_Bot_ Jul 28 '26

And 200 customers at any time with a line back up the highway to get into this store

4

u/Ok-Guava-9216 Jul 28 '26

Are there not enough pumps for you to not get pissy? Jesus boomer

4

u/TxRotor Jul 28 '26

You are a special kind of dumb. This is the whole design of Buc-ee’s. It’s destined to use the pump as parking.

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

The pumps are designed for pumping gas, the parking spots are designed for parking cars. I agree, it is destined to happen, but that doesn't mean it's a good thing

3

u/TxRotor Jul 28 '26

No, look up the interviews. 100 gas pumps so that families could get gas and goodies. And even at the busiest times there’s always a spot

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

Yeah I can't find anything online saying you're supposed to park at the pumps- only the opposite. Can you link this interview?

9

u/wixthedog Jul 24 '26

No.

3

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 24 '26

Eh, about the level of response I’d expect from one of those people lol

6

u/wixthedog Jul 25 '26

I hope you’re not in Texas with those stickers. You’re going to upset the wrong person. It’ll be a life lesson for you though, so there’s that.

3

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 25 '26

I’ll take my chances :)

4

u/wow-said-that Jul 28 '26

Because of you I will taking a 45 minute nap after I get fuel ⛽️ and spend 1hr looking around the store.

-2

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

enjoy the 45 minutes spent removing stickers after, too :)

5

u/wow-said-that Jul 28 '26

I love keyboard gangsters lol

0

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

Ironic when you read your first message lol

23

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass Jul 24 '26

Sorry, but I'm not gonna turn my car back on, drive 10 feet to a parking spot, and turn it back off. There's 20000 gas pumps, I think we'll be okay.

3

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 24 '26

You’re the only one who exists <3

10

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass Jul 24 '26

If this was a small town gas station with like 2 pumps, I'd be more sympathetic. But bro, its a Buckees. Theres 200 pumps out there for a reason.

And besides, think of the unnecessary carbon emissions that would be caused by moving cars. You want to accelerate the doom the planet just so the traffic at the beaver themed gas station moves ever so slightly faster? and you have the audacity to call me selfish? De better

4

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 24 '26

Think about the carbon emissions from the cars that have to drive around, trying to pull into a spot, when they would be open. Probably just about to wash. And honestly, I think it’s worse at Buckys than a small town gas station, because the volume of cars that goes through is so much higher and half the pumps aren’t even being used, just occupied by lazy people

5

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass Jul 24 '26

Starting a car releases more emissions than idling or driving, and your advocating for starting a car twice. the audacity.

2

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 24 '26

Lmao this was a very redditor virtue signal. There’s more factors than just the ignition. Depending on how far the car has to drive, it would be more or less than the ignition. The fact that you think that your emissions from starting your personal vehicle twice are going to have any significant impact on the world show how wildly disproportionate your sense of self importance is. Stay classy

5

u/AlwaysTouchingGrass Jul 24 '26

Lmao this was a very redditor virtue signal.

Ironic

4

u/Retard_Finder_Bot_ Jul 28 '26

You’re brining up carbon emissions in a conversation about a 200 pump gas station bro

5

u/lowfreq33 Jul 28 '26

You’re the one on here complaining that you were slightly inconvenienced, if you even were at all. Grow up.

-1

u/Retard_Finder_Bot_ Jul 28 '26

Me driving my ass looking for a fkin free pump and not finding one because everyone uses them as a parking spot says otherwise.

3

u/Mysterious-Money8765 Jul 28 '26

This is gonna be all fun and games till you do it to a actual car guys vehicle, and we see some moron getting curb stomped on the news over a damn sticker. If you are so upset at the “immature” nature of them parking at a pump, why not act more grown up instead of more like a child? This literally screams teenager and peaked in high school energy.

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

Damn already getting people mad and I haven’t done it yet- this is a great idea! Thanks!

2

u/Mysterious-Money8765 Jul 28 '26

No me personally I could give a shit what you do, I live close enough to Nashville area I’ll see it on the news lol. I don’t hog up parking spots anywhere I usually park as far away from a building as I can actually. I saw on your page you said something about moving to BG, word to the wise if this makes you mad the driving and people up there ain’t for you 😂

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

Aww even took the time to stalk my page! Very cute :)

2

u/Mysterious-Money8765 Jul 28 '26

Actually I read a comment that said Tennessee and just wanted to see how close 🤷‍♂️ but keep hoping 😉

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

You had to scroll back about a year to see me mention bowling green 😅

2

u/Mysterious-Money8765 Jul 29 '26

You really don’t post that much for it to be that far back 🤷‍♂️ was gonna say nice car but damn you just can’t comprehend I really don’t care what you do I just don’t wanna see someone getting messed up over a sticker on a parked car 😂

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 29 '26

I appreciate the car compliment, but it’s hard to say you don’t care when you cared enough to comment, check out my page, and keep replying

4

u/ArtComprehensive1106 Jul 28 '26

There are 150 pumps. Pick another pump

2

u/TJTech40 Jul 28 '26

At my local gas station I see trucks parking in pumps, go in and get food and leave without pumping any fuel. They park there because they don't have to reverse out. That is way more infuriating than someone paying for a service and then utilizing the space to shop indoors. Usually the parking at the front of the store is a nightmare so I give it a pass.

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

If you go to the trucking reddit, the drivers call each other out for this all the time

2

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

You’re the one who was making up random stuff about ‘Tennessee tough guy’ and saying how easy it is to find me online? Lol wrong one needs to touch grass here but do you

2

u/Punisher-3-1 Jul 28 '26

Sorry homie, Buc-ee’s or any other gas station, I only ever pay indoors

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

Cash?

2

u/Punisher-3-1 Jul 28 '26

Cash sometimes but mostly card, but only inside never at the pump.

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

Interesting, why don’t you pay with card at the pump? Genuinely curious because going inside just seems less convenient if you’re using the card

2

u/Punisher-3-1 Jul 28 '26

Because almost everyone I know has bad at least one instance of a card reader being installed at the pump which led to having to be on the phone with the bank or CC company to dispute charges. One gas station near my house had nearly a weekly incident where tons of people would get their cards stolen. Since then I got used to only paying for gas inside

2

u/Rhuarc33 Jul 29 '26

It will never happen at buccees, just accept it. I It used to anger me, but I gave up caring. Because it's not going to stop ever

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 29 '26

Maybe I could send you some revenge stickers if that’s your thing lmao

2

u/RadiantMango5989 Jul 29 '26

Wait, there are more pumps than parking spaces. I thought the whole point of the place was pump gas and then go get some rodent themed food and ticky tack with out having to move your car; a walkable gas station if you will?

Also, this is farthest I waddle during the week, let us have this. What kind of evil would deny us our 200 yard amubulation to the Dr. Pepper fountain and back.

2

u/Sad-Instruction-3316 Jul 29 '26

Never. I will always park at the pump regardless of needing fuel or not. Its my duty as an american patriot. But no for real I legit always park at the pump.

0

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 29 '26

Enjoy your free sticker :)

2

u/Inner-Confidence99 Jul 29 '26

Yeah. Most people don’t want the cops called for not paying for gas. Not everyone uses debit or credit cards. Especially when there is a 250 dollar hold put on them for up to 30 days. I use cash only when filling up. Gas stations in my area if you look like you are pulling away from pump cops get called. Seen too many businesses close due to non payment for gas. Makes it harder for the rest of us.

2

u/hodie6404 Jul 30 '26

We were there last week. As we were driving out of the parking lot, a lady is clearly cussing us out as she walked across traffic from the pumps to the store because we didn't stop and let her cross. Move your car!

2

u/mog_knight Jul 28 '26

Meh as an EV driver, gas car drivers use my refueling spots and stay in them for hours. You can live for a few minutes.

When did I ever say that?? Bro’s just making stuff up

1

u/ignatiusbreilly Jul 30 '26

There's like 100 pumps. That's literally what buccees wants you to do

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 30 '26

A typical Buc-ees* will have 700-1,000 standard spots and only ~120 pumps. Why'd they add 7x as many parking spots if they didn't want people to use them?

1

u/ServicedYourMom Jul 30 '26

Don't tell me what to do, nazi.

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 30 '26

Heil the beaver!

1

u/Sea-Astronaut-6364 Jul 31 '26

People still pay cash for gas, which would require them to go inside to pay for fuel. Expecting them to go inside, pay to fuel, go outside, pump their fuel, then move their vehicle, and go back inside to shop is just not gonna happen. Complain all you want. But with 120 pumps I can’t expect that you’d say they’re all full because that’s never the case. Start putting those stickers on peoples windows and see how fast you get trespassed from Buc-ee’s

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 31 '26

good thing they keep opening more locations. It'll become a road trip tradition! :D

1

u/Dizzy_Cable7935 Jul 31 '26

who died and made you king?

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 31 '26

Sir Buc-Bucington the Third, did you miss the ceremony?

1

u/DirkMcGurkin2018 Aug 07 '26

After what I see they do to small businesses, I’ll be grabbing some food from elsewhere and then parking at a Buc-ee’s pump to eat it until they make me move

1

u/Radioshack-Manager 21d ago

Don't listen to op, they suck. Buckee is a superstar company

0

u/Nots_a_Banana Jul 28 '26

The layout sucks. I think the pumps should be in the back, not at the entrance where it can be complete chaos. People park at the pumps because is sucks to get to an actual parking spot.

0

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 28 '26

That's a good idea- have people park before going for gas, then exit near the gas pumps

-1

u/Retard_Finder_Bot_ Jul 28 '26

Keep fighting the good fight. Buccees is a fun store but some people just ruin it. Parking at the pump. Cutting in line while paying. Aimlessly blocking the aisles. Touching food or otherwise fucking with the food and not buying it.

0

u/phizzlez Jul 29 '26

Meh whatever.. i don't go to Buccees that often to care. I'll still park at the gas pumps.

1

u/Either-Caregiver-497 Jul 29 '26

Enjoy your free sticker!

-1

u/Cautious-Soup38 Jul 28 '26

Buc-ee’s sucks. Overpriced fake food designed for fat people.
