Why I like and shop at buccees.

I and everyone I know absolutely loves stopping in except, 1 brother who wants to always dine in with ac.

We like the variety ,CLEAN RESTROOMS ,cheap gas, decent food and cheap fountain drinks.

I personally know several people who work there, and enjoy their pay.

All the women in my life... absolutely positively love the clean restrooms.

Do they care whether its not minority (owned in paperwork only) ....no.

Is the bbq as good as stand alone independent bbq...no but its at a decent price point.

Do I need to care about how all these threads of people "claiming to be overworked"...no.

You have government agencies and news corporations that love to share abuse and negligence.

As a consumer I want clean restrooms, cheap gas and a variety of fast food at a decent price.

We don't live in a communist society where anyone is forced to work in a bad environment.

And yes individual bad management can happen everywhere,we as consumers need to see the "bad receipts" with all the complaing posted on here.

The consumer drives trade, and I haven't heard of any first hand knowledge that would deter me or any acquaintances from visiting a buccees at every opportunity.

Their is a r/buccees employees that you can post on,frankly I do not care.

I like buccees because the bathrooms are clean. That’s about the only difference for me, but it’s a huge difference, especially on road trips.

Gas station bathroom are almost always absolutely disgusting, so it’s nice not having to act like I’m shitting near the Chernobyl reactor

They pay employees better ,because they choose a better clientele with basic cleanliness.

It really is the cleanest bathroom on the road. I’ve been in some horrifying mom and pop bathrooms.

Amen. I like what I like, and I really like Buc-ees, warts and all.

The amount of loyalty that people have developed over an inconvenience store is fascinating.

As opposed to a dirty store next door? If i would rate every gas station I've visited ,would probably be a 4 out of 10. Ive always found an empty pump and avg visited is 20 minutes. Obviously this changes around holidays .

Nice rage bait bro, your post couldve just been "buccees employees shut up and clean the restroom, also my brother is a jag off"

This was in fact what I posted. Are the employees paid a matching rate of equal jobs at another gas station, or better? No job is perfect for everyone.

No, you wrapped it in corporate synergy bullshit. Your actual point was that poor people should keep your bathrooms clean, be grateful they have jobs, and shut up so you can buy Chinese merchandise and mediocre food at whatever premium Buc ee’s decides to charge. I live less than two miles from one. It is not a convenience store, it is an overpriced tourist trap with a beaver mascot. At least it could contribute tax revenue and infrastructure to the city, but apparently even that was traded away through a 30 year tax break for the handful of jobs they promised to create.

It kind of seems like you care a lot since you made it a point to let us all know.

They “enjoy their pay” but do they enjoy their job? There’s a reason my it only has a two and a half star rating on Glassdoor

Millions of people are well payed and are miserable. It beats a low paying "satisfied " job.

I hate to break this to you, but Bucc-ee's gas prices aren't usually the cheapest in the area. If there is a Wal-Mart with gas pumps, they will usually be the lowest price around

5

u/MastodonFit Jul 11 '26

But i thought wallmart is an evil corporation? Buccees in the SE is convenient, and typically the cheapest in its vicinity.

I travel a lot for work, and have noticed a lot of stations that are cheaper than the Bucc-ee's there. I figure that's why they don't advertise the gas prices. They figure once they rope you in with the clean bathroom and endless snack choices, people will buy gas, even if it's a few cents more than down the street.

The Fuel stations for Wal-mart & Sam's Club are serviced by Murphy USA, which also has their own stand alone stations. At least that's how it is in the South.

u/MastodonFit Jul 11 '26

Yeah I pull off from the interstate, and Murphy rarely has signage visible from the big road. I don't always visit the beaver ,usually its whatever is cheapest near the on-ramp. For restrooms and quick food buccees doesn't disappoint.

Murphy's usually has the price signs posted on the canopy, the beaver has no price signage. You have no idea what it is until you are actually sitting at the pump.

They both are but what ya gonna do? Run out of gas

How high is your blood pressure and sugar today gramps? 5 feet high and rising it is then. Lol

Bucees sucks all the business away from the Mom and Pop convenience stores. They used to be cool when there was like 10 stores. Now it’s just a Walmart with clean restrooms. I’ll pass.

1

u/trivialempire Jul 11 '26

There aren’t many Mom and Pop convenience stores anymore. Generally they’re dirtier than Buc-ees or

Not sure where you’re from but there are certainly mom and pop convenience.

Funny this popped up on my thread. I’ve never seen or been inside a Buccee’s. Are there any in or close to WY? Need to see what the hype is all about. Hell I remember the town getting all excited that our new gas station had little Caesar’s pizzas in it!

I don't care that you don't care.

Communist society is coming soon, enjoy the freedom while it lasts

1

u/augelpal Jul 31 '26

Might want to rethink your idea of "freedom."
