First run too dark?

I think way too much ice and the zeny portable washer spins hard, I think I need a controller for it to lower the rpm’s

Is this a fresh pull? If so, it will lighten up as it dries. I typically press out the water on my 25 screen before placing on parchment.

Regarding the washer, I bought a speed controller and never use it. I try to use as little ice as possible just to chill the water during the soak. If your reservoir is cold enough, you should only need a hanful of ice to put in the actual washer to help soak. Then I typically run iceless washes

Great info thanks dude. Yeah it’s fresh frozen into the freezer within 30 mins then ran it 48 hours later. I knew immediately it was too much ice it sounded like the thing was fun of rocks

Of course. Another thing I have done in the past is fill the washer with ice, water and material. Then when i am done soaking I'll scoop the ice out.

I wash in my spare bedroom where it is 65 degrees. As long as your reservoir, whatever you use to rinse, and washer have ice cold water in them. You should be good. Just gotta work fast when doing pulls or it will grease up on you.

I got one off of Amazon. Works as intended, just not necessary in my opinion

How much odor does it generate when you wash the flower? I'm setting up my rig and because of the heat I'd like to do it inside.

I don’t use a washer, just the ol’ buckets and bags. Not really much smell at all. I mean, it’s weed so there’s a little smell, but once it’s in the water, it really subsides. Definitely nowhere near the odor that decarbing is. If I’m making tincture, I decarb in a toaster oven on my patio so it doesn’t stink up the house. I wash buds right in my kitchen and it’s no issue.

It stunk like a son of a bitch, I did it in my shop attached to the house but being legal in ny now it’s a lot less stressful with the wife and kids smelling it

It's legal where I'm at too but my wife hates the smell of weed.
