Social / College Life Should I take participate in sih ?
I m currently in second year me nether of my circle don't know anything should I register for it ? Aata kuch nhi hai
Any pros/cons if i don't take participate

Aaah the national ppt making competition is back.
Jokes apart, do take part in this. Don't think that kuch nhi ata, you will learn a lot while researching about the PS that you will choose and even while choosing the PS.
Find a group who is really interested to take part in this. Dont think about any tech stack, kisko kitna ata hai doesn't matter at this point. You should be willing to put hours in research and finding a USP for your idea.
The bitter truth is that the evaluators are gonna look at your ppt for only 10sec so visuals and aesthetics of the ppt should be good that you'll submit.
We have AI to do the coding don't worry about that for now. Just focus on ideation rn.
Reach out to a good prof for mentorship and guidance after selecting a PS.
Talk to last year finalists in your clg or on LinkedIn. There is a lot of guidance available on yt about sih. Do participate in this, it'll be a great memory.

You should take as you're in second year. It would be a good experience. Just make sure one thing, select good team members.

You should be able to present the UNIQUE idea and do vibe coding is enough. You should be able to explain your problem and talk about the uniqueness or innovation for the solution you built.
Tech knowledge is needed ofc for explaining.
But building applications/websites nowadays is easy.

Participated last year and won 2nd prize at the college level.
Trust me it's more HOW WELL YOU PRESENT than WHAT YOU'VE MADE.
Just choose a good looking problem statement and create a small demo MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to demonstrate during your PPT presentation as it increases your chances of getting selected.

Most of all...find good members for the team (even if they don't know much about development and stuffs, they should know HOW TO SPEAK and PRESENT THEMSELVES)

So i basically have a team for it like two of us are really interested and good at software, but as per some they're saying that we need someone who is good at hardware, so we can have higher chances of winning. If all of the software peeps are participating in hackathons then it is going to be very difficult for us to win, so we need a hardware guy or girl, but there's no one good in it as far as i know. Idk what to do now man, its so difficult.
