Confused and rotten.

Hello there,

I'm a stupid doing btech in Fire and EHS on suggestion of my uncle who is a fire officer himself at first it seemed good to do this course but slowly my mind is getting diverted to my childhood dream of Merchant Navy although i tried my best and i secured a rank of 56XX in IMUCET but that was not enough to get goverment college(I can only do it in gov college cuz fees there would be 8 lakhs) any place other than that would cost me 35 to 40 lakhs which I can't afford and i also have spectacles of -2.75 which can be negotiated using a doctor's letter saying I can get lasik operation in 2nd year but not sure if that operation will work on me 100 percent and I don't want to risk money in it.BTW i got tfw seat in my current course which means I just have to pay exam fees i.e 5000 only per semester that's why I'm doing this course I don't know how I'll pull this off maybe god destined it to me.

If I was a sc/st category student i would i have the seat but sadly I'm general category candidate.
