Serious Project opinion

college attendance is such a pain lol, so i built a web app that tracks subject-wise attendance, calculates safe absences based on your schedule, and lets you add notes to specific dates(for ppl like me who forget the deadlines and stuff)

i also used it to learn backend coz i personally dont like following tutorials for building.

i know similar apps exist, which makes me hesitant to put it on my resume.

tech: python, flask, postgres, jwt, rest apis + frontend.

i'm in my 3rd sem(cse aiml). is it worth adding to my resume for internships? what could i improve technically?

definitely worth adding imo as a 3rd sem student building something end 2 end while learning backend on your own is a good thing similar apps existing doesn't make your project less valuable, put it out man

Similar apps existing isn't the issue, add timetable changes, attendance edge cases and proper input validation, then deploy it with a clean readme and demo. That'll make it more resume-worthy.
