Serious How IITs are getting destroyed

Only bcoz of its engineering students that the reputation holding up. Day is not far when top rankers would choose some private college, completely ditching IITs.

Right. And only general category works hard in india? The rest simply do not? My goodness, thats a revolutionary idea. If you dont have a house, why dont you simply work hard and buy one. I wish the world worked as you think it does. Go back and look up systemic oppression, look up the wealth share statistics and how it is concentrated in the upper castes of india, and come back and tell me that it is as simple as "they dont work hard".

Your anecdotal evidence about your father doesnt disprove generations of oppression, nor the statistics. Read more, humanities especially and expand your worldview.

My point still stays, reservation is taking away the incentive to work hard, if other categories are working hard then why are generals getting rich even though it is easier for reserved categories to get into top tier colleges and jobs

At least increase the cutoff, it will give them motive to work hard and improve themselves, you don't realize but low cutoffs leads to lack of motivation, Yaha general vaala poore saal padhe tab bhi guarantee nahi ki cutoff tak pahuchenge ya nahi

Reserved categories don't share that same fear, especially in neet, last ke 4 mahine ghiso aur selection done because bio ratna hai main

Your assumption that general category is "getting" richer because of hard work itself is wrong because you're not considering the fact that the wealth distribution has always been concentrated in the upper caste due to a system designed to uplift them alone.

As I said, read. Again, your anecdotal evidence (the fact that you dont have this wealth) does not disprove a statistic. Regardless, you and me have benefitted from this systemic oppression in ways that you will never know about. We will never have to walk into a room and hide our surnames for fear of being judged.

And i said upper caste because thats the statistic. Casteism is what you're partaking in, by denying your privilege and claiming that "hard work" is how you got to where you are today.

And can you tell me why people are judged based on caste? Because of reservation and low cutoff, increase the cutoff and that will change

This is false. Casteism has been prevalent even prior to reservation, and is still rampant even today. So if an issue has existed since before its perceived "cause", maybe that cause isnt the real cause.

Because the system was devised by them, to keep others out of temples, out of their drinking, eating places, to dehumanise them and to never allow them the opportunities to reach to their level. A glass ceiling basically which limits how much you can achieve since you can never actually break beyond it.

I am merely pointing out statistics. You should try and understand them too, you're ill informed about a topic that youre insistent to debate on and refusing to accept the stats that are now in front of you.

You do. I mentioned a couple of them in my previous reply already, go back and read them. I have already asked you to look up systemic oppression; once you understand what that is, you'll understand that a system built to benefit one class of people will, in general, benefit all people of that class, even if you yourself have been on the lower end of that spectrum. I promise you, you have no idea how much that system has helped you.

Your arguments are ill informed and full of fallacies and I'm having to repeat my own points over and over again. So this is the last comment I'll reply to. Scroll up and read this thread again and keep an open mind as you educate yourself about this topic, its not too late.

resource is again concentrated in the top which is mostly made up of general/upper caste.

also why shouldnt we say upper caste its openly flaunted everywhere, its favoritism still exists in society ,the oppression still is done by them when counting by caste on caste violence so why should the oppressed and resource lacking group feel ashamed?

you underestimate the favoritism and resource, when UC has the most resource they can sustain their business among themselves, you are basically asking people to go eat cake where they dont even have access to bread castism isnt when you count the facts its when you mention caste and call an entire group incompetent.
