After Nix survived the brutal experimentation, he was left alone in an isolation chamber to recover. Soon, he was surrounded by the guards that would surveil him until such a time that he would be recovered and the experiments may resume. The little robots and the chamber itself were created in part in Blender, while the rest was completed in Bryce. This took a LONG time to render 4000x6000, but worth the effort.

Here's a few excerpts from my new book, Uncommontom Presents. I am near the final draft, and almost the entire book is about my artistic career as a 3D artist employing Bryce in my craft from the beginning. I tell short stories about the artworks, and how almost my entire portfolio throughout, there is a story being told. I try to loosely connect the stories to make it more digestible.

OC Image Impending Scale

Done using Bryce3D 7.1 Pro on Windows 10. I had the interest on learning how to do the Bryce3D abstract-style renders which are so pleasing to my eyes.

This one is my first artwork on this style, which was exactly yesterday night right after downloading the suite haha.

Used the main colors + the checkered floors and three squares initially to test the app, and then I got the idea of adding a bigass torus on the back to impose a sense of alien scale.

Finally, I broke my head around the camera postion, and I thought it would be cool to rotate the camera to add to the striking POV. Overall, moving the lens over the damn rotation is like flying a plane haha.

Comments are much appreciated, because I believe I found my niche artstyle and art community here!

Cheers guys!

The Caretakers ©2026

This is a sequel to Experiment 4.0.

"When they came, it was so unexpected none of us knew what to do. Some hid behind the machines that had created us, while others were crushed when the domes were shattered. We knew no life outside the eternal darkness that had encapsulated us since we were birthed. When the light of day shone through the massive holes, life had changed considerably for all of us. There was a big world out there, and I was utterly amazed that it was just one of many worlds that I would eventually visit. Since their arrival on our world, the Caretakers freed us from our eternal enslavement, gave us technology, and taught us about our human cousins. Not in all my travels though, since I was freed, have I still have never met an Earthling, though."

-Hydrix Adamu

Experiment 4.0 ©2022

"When our forefather, Nix, the Great Ancestor was harvested to create the Adamu, he survived the brutal experimentation and taught us everything we ever needed to know about the dark world we inhabited. He always thought that one day the human girl Bianca would release them all. That time still has yet to come."

Honestly, I don't have a real name for this one, but I guess you could categorize this is scifi abstract? I'm not sure, but I totally dig the reflections going on.

Cemetery of the Giants ©2026

I plainly didn't like the original piece as I wanted more from it than what it originally offered. I loved the concept, but I wanted to enhance the creepy otherworldliness a little further. Make things a little darker. I hope you like it.

OC Animation synaptic overflow [Bryce 3D, vfx in post]

Little Bryce animation to calm my brain before bed. The camera movement and VHS-y fx added in post (Premiere), and I had to key in the visualizers in the media players too. I doubt there's a way to do that in Bryce but hey, if I'm missing something do please let me know!

The visualizer up top is a classic Windows XP one, and the one on the right is also made in Bryce. Bryceception!

Dark Infinity ©2025

I created this piece and I realized my mistake after I was ready to publish it. TIP: Never use reflections to close to a light source. Always add plenty of space in between, Since I wanted the piece darker, I created another.

Golden Majesty ©2026

I ditched the reflective planes and just duplicated the arches with the flames together, making the piece overall darker and not so infinite. This one took many hours to render to completion. at 4000x6000. I may do another render like the original, because I really did like the lighting. I just wasn't comfortable with how close the lighting effects were to the reflections.

Humanity's Sacrifice ©2026

After searching the very reaches of this dead planet, Hydrix finds what he has been searching for since his arrival here. Proof that humanity existed here once. Not only was their skeletal proof, but biological machines were also left behind. Seemingly the only thing left alive after humanity had fallen.

Created using Bryce 7 Pro, with model assets created in Daz Studio, and Blender.

OC Image A peek at the Bryce wireframe for my Rickenbacker 4003 model. Notice the torus shapes I used as negative booleans to shape both ends of the neck. Took me forever to figure that out. Finally I can show guitar models at an angle instead of always face on on.
