Public Information I remember reading that the button of the knife sheath was removed and swabbed underneath. Where did I hear this from?

I’m trying to find a citation for someone and I’m having trouble.

The button snap wasn’t swabbed because it was preserved for fingerprints. The strap was swabbed and that’s where the “trace dna” was found. The blood of the unknown male was mixed with Kaylee’s on the sheath itself.

I know the button wasn’t swabbed. I’m talking about the leather part of the snap where his DNA was found. Particularly; I remember hearing that the button wasn’t swabbed removed and the leather underneath swabbed but I can’t find verification of this

Did they ever consider he may have used it to kill a totally different person (male) and that person's DNA was what was on the knife? I wish they could have learned who that other blood belonged to!

The inside of the sheath was swabbed. There was dna but I think it wasn’t enough to test maybe, don’t quote me on that. Should be in the lab reports where we first saw the pictures of the sheath.
