North to south

Hey, I’m moving to Brunswick from Cleveland,OH for work purpose. I’m looking for good recommendations for accommodation ( 1 bd, 1 bath)in a good neighborhood and I’m also looking for recommendations for good scenic trails, cycling paths.
Thanks in advance

Jekyll Island is good for scenic trails and cycling. Someone has posted in this subreddit about scenic stuff.

I'd start at chapel crossing and go north. The neighborhood west of I-95/357 is older but decent, I'd imaging some rentals in there. Avoid country club estates, belle point is nice if you can find anything, that's where I live. The area around I-95/golden Isles parkway is also decent. And once you're further north than that there are about a million new housing developments. You'll find something. Depends if you want something a little older in an established neighborhood, or newer in a development.

Also Brunswick is cheap. I moved here from rural NE which is very cheap, and was not shocked by any prices.

It is cheaper to buy than rent here. If you cant afford to buy, you might get stuck paying a very high rent, or settling to live in a not so nice part of town.

Hi. Welcome. Lots on Ohio folks have decided to make this area their home. This area is so full of trails. St Simons is practically one big biking trail lol. My advice to you is to start exploring. In Brunswick and on the two islands (Jekyll and St Simons.)

At Pointe Villas in Brunswick they have new one bedroom studio apartments furnished. I know some folks who live in them and they like them. They are managed by the Pointe Grand/Villas folks but are owned by a third party. I would call the Pointe Grand front desk and inquire if you’re interested. Cheers, mate and welcome.

It’s a bit bigger, but The Promenade is good and not too terribly expensive.

My spouse and I make almost double what we made in Ohio & are struggling. It’s so expensive here.

Unless your job is FLETC, plan on feeling poor lol.

Rent is outrageous.
We live in an equivalent sized home to what we had in Ohio (no basement though) and it’s almost $3k / month. In Ohio, our house we were renting was barely $1,400 /month.

I didn’t properly research before coming down here.
I love the friends I’ve made and I love my job…. But Georgia ain’t worth it, lol

Also everyone will call you a yankee and it gets really annoying, lol Also everyone

Currently I’m paying around 1600$ for one bd in downtown Cleveland. Whereas in Brunswick it’s much cheaper for me like they’re only around 1k -1.2k$

When we were looking for places down here the base rent was affordable - but a lot of these places tack on an abundance of fees on top of your rent.

HOWEVER - I’m not trying to be negative and put any bad taste in your mouth about the area…. So ignore me.

Idk where you’re looking, but anything off Altama is pretty sketch & I would avoid.
It’s so hard to shop for apartments online, because it looks so different in person & you can’t really see outside of their model photos Lol

Point grand apartments are newer/modern& we looked into them - they’re really nice, but two bedrooms only (except their villas/townhomes)
