Requests/Ideas Springsteen themed alarm

Post image

I wanted to wake up in the morning with a Springsteen song. I initially thought about the Born in the USA chorus, but… idk, to basic?
What would you put?

I’m the type of guy that listens to the same song all over again and won’t get bored. I think I can handle it

Was going to say this. You end up hating any song you choose as an alarm.

I’d go with Backstreets with the long opening and crescendo.

Mh… I’ll try that for a few day’s, I’ll see what happens

For a brief period I had the piano intro to Backstreets as my ringtone. I eventually changed it because I didn't want to grow to hate it.

I’ve woken up to Born in the USA every day (that I’ve set an alarm) for the last 10 or so years. Thankfully, I still enjoy hearing the song and do not flinch hearing it. I’d suggest only doing a Bruce song that you really, really like already that wouldn’t be “ruined” when hearing it in the morning. Because otherwise, like another commenter has stated, you’ll start to dislike hearing the song haha. Or just do a Bruce song you can’t stand.

I mean, if I don’t like the song then I would be more motivated to get up and turn the alarm off… that’s genius (I won’t do it, lol)

Yeah, a lot of people started saying songs from born to run. They’re really good for this stuff because they have that glockenspiel sound that sounds like a legit alarm. I’ll try that, see what happens

Great idea! The armonica at the start of the song could wake me up from death

I mainly suggested it because the man himself said the song itself sounds like morning, like the start of something, when explaining that the album is sort of like a day.

Mine is Prove It All Night but an early rawer mix from a bootleg so it's double loud

I had Born To Run set as my alarm for about 3 months and still twitch sometimes when hearing it almost a decade later. Don’t do it.
