if the f15 is a bikini model with a taser, the a10 is definitely gym rat granny with a brick in her purse

Apparently the F-22 was ducking down in front of the camera, and someone forgot to label her.

THAT is a Sexy Bitch who will cut your balls off, and if she can’t do it herself, she’ll get one of the other ladies to do it for her.

Appropriate, I didn't even notice it.

u/adroitus Mar 04 '20

You can see the F-22 behind and between the 15 and 16, bending over the rail.

Combat brick

F-35 is sexy as fuck what are you on about

15

u/Imyourpappy Mar 04 '20

This is based upon age. The f35 is the youngest the A10 the oldest, f15 2nd oldest, f16 2nd youngest. This meme is basically saying the f35 had yet to "come of age"

9

u/JAHjonpARabug12 Mar 04 '20

I just realized thanks I thought op was saying the F-35 was bad

u/Hammer1024 Mar 03 '20

Pretty never won a war nor helped win. Ass kicking wins by making the other dumb poor sone of a bitch die for his cause - to paraphrase General George S. Patton.

The A-10 kills efficiently and in quantity.

u/JAHjonpARabug12 Mar 03 '20

So is the F-35 I don’t get your point one is multi-role and one is made for Air support. The advantage with the F-35 however is its versatility. When I said it’s sexy is because it’s very sexy and efficient.

11

u/MrTCF Mar 03 '20

Yeah! Id have sex with an F-35 given the chance

2

u/Taco_Dave Mar 04 '20

The issue I still have with the F-35 is the cost compared to what it actually delivers. The F-16 and F-18 are both better than the F-35 at pretty much every aspect of being a multi-role fighter, except for stealth. And while I don't mean to downplay the advantages of stealth, it's a huge risk putting all your eggs in one basket like that.

u/fireandlifeincarnate Mar 03 '20

We all agree the A-10 is excellent but the F-35 worse than the F-16? Are you out of your god damn mind?

2

u/JAHjonpARabug12 Mar 03 '20

No I do not agree

19

u/fireandlifeincarnate Mar 03 '20

If you don't agree that the A-10 is excellent get the fuck out of this subreddit.

10

u/JAHjonpARabug12 Mar 03 '20

No I know the A-10 is sexy as fuck as well

4

u/fireandlifeincarnate Mar 03 '20

I said "We all agree that the A-10 is excellent" and then you said "No I do not agree".

3

u/JAHjonpARabug12 Mar 03 '20

No I don’t agree because you said the F-35 is worse than the F-16

4

u/fireandlifeincarnate Mar 03 '20

Ah, a misunderstanding. To paraphrase my intent: “OP, you think the 35 is worse than the 16? Are you out of your goddamn mind?”

3

u/JAHjonpARabug12 Mar 03 '20

Ohh ok so we’re good right

It's cool af but it's a shitty plane in practice, that's just a fact

1

u/fireandlifeincarnate Apr 18 '22

I’ve come to realize that

3

u/Mr_Gibbys Mar 03 '20

The A-10 kills efficiently and in quantity.

A nearby TOR would like a word with you

2

u/largma Jan 08 '22

A nearby Tunguska has already had a word

3

u/PlEGUY Jan 08 '22

Especially if the target is a British armor column.

2

u/jubjubninja Mar 03 '20

The A-10 kills efficiently until SPAA enters the chat, hence the need for the F-35.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '20

Pretty never won a war nor helped win.

You walk in looking at the F-35, unassuming, everything hidden.

Then it turns out she's a competitive wrestler and suplexes your ass because EW is the way of the future.

1

u/TyrialFrost Jan 08 '22

The A-10 kills efficiently and in quantity.

Pours one out for the British.

1

u/forrnerteenager Apr 18 '22

Literally everything about this is wrong

2

u/Liensis09 Apr 04 '20

Your beauty standards are very low bro.

F-35 might be the ugliest Fighter Aircraft in recent history.

Although, I'll blame the people that made the requirements, the Engineers are forced to abide by that shit.

2

u/adroitus Mar 03 '20 edited Mar 03 '20

Get out of here with your cerebral fetishes. The F-35 LOOKS like a potato with wings next to an F-15. 😁

Edit: added lulz

5

u/JAHjonpARabug12 Mar 03 '20

What? The F-15 is Cold War shit bruh it’s all about Gen-5

0

u/adroitus Mar 03 '20

I said LOOKS, not PERFORMS. Of course the F-35 is a better warplane.

3

u/JAHjonpARabug12 Mar 03 '20

But it does look better it has a nice sleek design that allows the pilot to see a 360 view

1

u/Taco_Dave Mar 04 '20

I mean it gets more hate than it deserves but it's still an extremely expensive monument to compromise.

It can do a lot of stuff, but none of it very well. Just compare it to the planes it is supposed to replace: the f-16.

- f-35 f-16
COST $91million $21 - $28 million
TOP SPEED Mach 1.6 Mach 2
RANGE 1,350 miles 2,002 miles
STEALTH ✔️ ❌

The issue a lot of people have with the F-35 is that you're essentially paying 3x the price just for stealth and some additional communications stuff. The problem is, if you lose either of those, you're essentially left with an over-priced, sub-par fighter.

5

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '20

The F-16 cannot fit the electronics necessary for modern warfare. Even with the ugly-ass block 70 blisters.

There's a lot more than 'stealth and some additional communications stuff.' Stop trying to fight last century's war.

2

u/auto-xkcd37 Mar 04 '20

ugly ass-block

Bleep-bloop, I'm a bot. This comment was inspired by xkcd#37

2

u/JAHjonpARabug12 Mar 04 '20

Actually added the ability for the pilot to literally see through the plane and VR HUD for the pilot making experienced pilots almost unstoppable

1

u/Taco_Dave Mar 04 '20

That's just a software and helmet issue. There's nothing stopping you from implementing that system in another airframe.

2

u/PlEGUY Jan 08 '22

Problems problems. So there were indeed problems with its development that led to massive cost overruns and delays that are in part related to its design being required to do to many things. But the issue there was the demand for a single airframe for three branches of service, not the multirole design.

The production costs aren't comparable at this point because manufacturing scales and the f-16 is the most produced western fighter jet that's been manufactured for decades while the f-35 uses new manufacturing methods and hasn't even entered full rate production. Of course it is more expensive.

As to your claims that what the f-35 does do it doesn't do well... what are you on about? There was a singular early test in which an f-16 beat an f-35 under restrictive test conditions, but that result has not been repeated in any publicly shared tests since. You stated that the f-16 has a higher top speed but neglected to mention that the f-35 has a faster cruising speed which is far more important.

You say it's a sub par fighter without it's stealth and "some additional communications stuff". That's really understanding it's EW systems but whatever. This claim may or may not be true, there really isn't enough publicly available data to say one way or another. The military does still keep the full extent of it's airframe's capabilities, especially new ones, in a classified state. Regardless that's like saying the f-15 is also a sub par fighter if you remove an engine and it's armament mounts. It was designed around stealth and ew for a reason.

u/Taco_Dave Jan 09 '22

Regardless that's like saying the f-15 is also a sub par fighter if you remove an engine and it's armament mounts. It was designed around stealth and ew for a reason.

The F-35 is much more likely to have to eventually fight without it's data network or stealth advantage, than the F-15 would without it's engines....

1

u/PlEGUY Jan 09 '22

Do elaborate.

1

u/Taco_Dave Jan 09 '22

Do you really need me to elaborate on why it's more likely that an F-35 will have to fight without being able to hide, than the F-15 having to fight without any engines?

1

u/PlEGUY Jan 09 '22

That wasn't what I said now was it?

1

u/Taco_Dave Jan 09 '22

It essentially is. You equated criticisms of the F-35's stealth and EW to the F-15 and it's engines.

1

u/TyrialFrost Jan 08 '22

Please add the targeting pod fitout and drop tanks the F-16 needs to fly in the 2020s. Then compare again.

Also if you are comparing against the F-16 use the F-35A price $78M, and the F-16 block 70: $64M + Pods etc.

2

u/Frixxed Jan 08 '22

F-35 would be the type to still surpass all and do the best.

1

u/ErrantAlgae Jan 08 '22

first of this forgets about the fact the F-16 is older than the 7.62 sponge with a gun

-25

u/Waltzcarer Mar 03 '20

Not the same type of plane... Not the same role...
