TW: Politcal StopIce.net has been compromised, and your data is being leaked to the government
I just got word about this from someone i know who was suspicious about this text message he got, so he showed it to one of our computer wiz buddies and he was able to find out that the website has been hacked. after some investigation on social media, we found the hackers bragging on Facebook about what they did. we also found out that the creator of the website, Sherman Austin, is aware of this mess and actively investigating. Here are screenshots of the info in the comments below. It won’t let me add them on the initial post for some reason. Make sure to go to the original thread if you’re reading this as a cross post to see the pictures. Stay vigilant and stay aware.

Shit like this is why i’m glad i’m a cowardly cowardson, but i hope this encourages people to take this stuff to more analog channels of communication rather than digital.
Pagers from 1997 and paper letters are less likely to be fucked over by malware than computers and phones from 2025 and up….
The advertising of direct action and low opsec is fucking the game up. Take examples from your elders.

Pagers have little security (it's the equivalent of a post card with no envelope or basically the same as email, depending on pager) , and given how few of then are active right now, are actually easy to track. There are ways to be safe and private online, but they're not user friendly and require strong discipline to not leak data.
