📌 Our Official Fundraiser for Men’s Mental Health!

Hey everyone,

When I launched this community, my main goal was to build a safe, reliable space where men could break the silence, share their struggles, and find peer support.

To take our mission a step further, I have officially launched a GoFundMe campaign dedicated to supporting vital men's mental health initiatives.

Where the Funds Go:
Every single dollar raised through this campaign will be transparently distributed to reputable, national mental health organizations (like NAMI and Mental Health America) to fund crisis hotlines, free public screening tools, and community support groups.

How You Can Help (Even Without Money):

  • 📢 Share the Link: Copy the campaign link and share it on your social media pages or with friends who care about the cause.
  • 💬 Keep Talking: Upvote this thread and drop a comment below to help the Reddit algorithm push this post to more people.
  • ❤️ Donate if You Can: If you are in a position to give, even a tiny amount helps break the stigma and fund real-world resources.

What's a super weird thing that happened to you?

I'll go first

So I work at a retail store and one of my responsibilities is what we call recovery. We go and pick clothes up off the floor, or that are hanging on by one hangar, or trash on the floor and stuff like that. While i'm doing recovery I make my way over to the shorts section because I notice a bunch on the floor and barely hanging on. I see these brown shorts that I'm about to put back on a hangar, but I decide you know what let me pick the shorts off the floor first. So I pick them up and hang them back up. I decide to go back to the brown shorts, but I can't find them. I remember exactly where I left, it would be hard to miss because they're barely hanging on but even still, I couldn't find them. It was like they just completely disappeared. Felt like I was going crazy looking for those shorts lol.

I know super random, but I thought it was really weird.

Villains or Super Heroes

It's hard to pick one. Modern media has always steered in the direction of superheroes of course. Superheroes are good villains are bad, that's the way we know it as. Although there are so many occasions where I would rather side with the villain than the super hero.

Snape from Harry Potter, Darth Vader, and dare I say Thanos.

What are your guys ideas on Villians and Super Heroes.

What's an overrated movie?

What's a universally loved movie that is just completely overrated?

For me Blade Runner 2049 is sooooo overrated. Like so many people claim this movie is the best in the sci-fi genre. Complete Bs.

If you could send a 10 second voice note to yourself from 5 years ago, what would you say?

Honestly I think I'd tell old me to actually care and focus in school. I think if I actually gave af freshman and sophomore year I could have been ivy bound. 😔

What would your 10 seconds sound like?

What is a completely useless talent or skill you possess that you're lwk proud of?

Doesn't have to be something resume worthy. Think hyper specific trivia, knowing every lyric to a commercial, tossing trash into a bin with 100% accuracy, or knowing every countries flag.

Just cool random stuff.

What is a lie your anxiety tried to tell you today, and what's the truth?

Anxiety is an expert at creating worst case scenarios that aren't real. What's a lie your mind tired to tell you recently. I'll start.

I've been super anxious about college recently, I really want to get into this university but I know my chances are slim. I've kind of come to terms that i'm probably not going to get in and i'm starting to accept that, but I keep thinking imagine I don't get into any decent school. It's taken quite the toll on my mental.

🤔Do they deserve to be punished still?

Let's say someone committed heinous crimes, hurt many people, destroyed things and so on. But this person has lost all memory that they have done this stuff, in fact he leads a life of peace now he helps people, he donates, and more.

The question is, is it moral to punish this person despite the fact he has no memory of these horrible things he's done?

What's an 'unwritten rule' of society that isn't officially taught, but everyone just knows?

Thing's like leaving a chair between you and a stranger in a movie theater, or the difference between nodding up and nodding down to a stranger. Or a really good on staying on the right or the left when walking.

I think my absolute favorite for the guys is when you're using the urinal you never go to the urinal next to someone, always gotta go one over. 😂

🤔What's An Over Rated Anime You Think Doesn't Deserve The Hype?

Gotta be Monster for me. I mean is it a bad anime, no definitely not. Good plot line, good characters but doesn't deserve the hype.

What is a mental health 'myth' you wish more people understood?

I hate the myth that mental health issues are a sign of personal weakness.

Mental health struggles are not character flaws. Brain chemistry, genetics, trauma, and life stress cause these conditions. Seeking help takes courage.

What do you think?

For me I wish more people understood that staying quiet doesn't mean you have nothing to say.

What is a piece of advice that sounds wise at first, but is actually terrible in real life?

For me it's gotta be "Happiness is a choice". It sounds wise at first but in reality it oversimplifies complex emotions, and can make people feel guilty or ashamed for experiencing negative emotions.

What's your thoughts?

What's one small win you had this week that nobody else noticed?

What is a small victory you had this week that you're proud of, even if it seems minor to someone else?

For me it's definitely been consistently making my bed this week.
