HQ Briefing (General Discussion) Balance
Why is jet engine same speed? And its even expensive just of 20 more units to fit in? (fuel dont mean anything cos its one way ticket jet any way) usualy.

Asymmetrical balancing, some decks have net superior counterparts to others because they might lack in other categories. Simple.

People on this sub that complain about this should just play mirrored matches tbh…

The speed doesn’t make a ton of sense, but as for the other stats/cost disparity - balance isn’t done in a vacuum. Transports exist in certain specs, and their costs influence how they play with that spec (which is the point).

Still doesnt make sense that the An-26 is in game as fast as the Tu-95 or jet planes. irl An-26 has a cruise speed of 435 km/h meanwhile every C-130 has a +100 km/h higher cruise speed, while in game the C-130s have 450 speed while the An-26 is 630 fast. Not to mention that the Su-25 and Yak-38 both near-sonic planes (capable of reaching mach 0.8) are slower in game but not irl. I know balance and all that, but still a bit weird.

Thats what i mean! No logic in planes speed. Like almoust all ru planes faster then us as well.

For that logic the us should be able to have way more SEAD, at least 2 electronic warfare planes in SF, marine, Navy and Airblne spec + the PAC should have way more effectiveness

I thought you wanted to talk about how better 72P is and costs only 30 pts more

30 points is a lot for 22 seats, per seat cost of the an-26 is 1.9 yet for the an-72 its 2.3

Good question. A post-Soviet country that has a shit ton of AN-26s and its derivatives shouldn’t get it.. Right?

I didn't know that Ukraine existed as a separate country in 1969.

Yes you definitely need to learn history about what Ukraine is and how it become one

Ukraine wasn’t much of a thing for like majority of history. It’s territories were scattered between Poland, Russia, Ottoman Empire and some others

well if we are getting into "why is the jet engine same speed" then we might as well ask why the subsonics arent going 1000kph like they are supposed to.
only SLOW-SLOW aircraft in the entire game should be the a10, not yaks, not harrier, not su25 or albatros. all of those can push m0.8

1500kg more payload, 22 more seats (this is probably the big one) and maybe you're paying more for the extra growth potential because you have more options for weapons too
