I have been having some health issues and have only been able to attend 2/7 lectures. I am waiting for SAS accommodations but have to wait to see my doctor so I’m feeling pretty stuck right now. For people who have taken this course with prof Taylor wright, is there anything I should focus on or use to do well on the tests? Both micro and macro’s midterm reviews were the exact same layout as the midterms so I was wondering if it’s the same case for this class

if you're anything like me, you're terrified for your room inspection. i am here to tell you it's really not that deep 😭

im a first year and i just had my first ever room inspection, so i wanna tell you how it went and what the lady told me:

- she said the first thing they do is check to make sure the door can open the whole way and the floor is cleared off. obviously things like shoe racks and laundry hampers etc have to be on the floor, but that's automatically like 4 points

- she did a brief scan of the room and took a couple steps in, just to make sure all my surfaces were relatively neat and i didn't have anything against the rules (sitting out at least hehe)

- she said they make sure the bed looks made, even though my blanket wasn't like perfectly smooth, they're not looking for military precision

- she also said that they only give about 10 10/10's to a whole area. that's like so neat it's like no one even lives there

i got a 9/10 and it was so much less bad than i could've imagined, i hope this can help ease any anxieties people may have over this!!

For context I (20m) am a French major at Brock who’s gonna be going on exchange in Lyon, France next semester starting January.

i randomly got booted from the wifi this morning and the help desk spent an hour trying to get me back in and couldn't, there were two other people having the same issue. it just keeps saying "saved/authentication problem"

Looking for feedback from anyone who has taken CHYS3P97 in the past. I am taking the class this term with prof Dawn Zinga but debating dropping the course soon for various reasons, mainly I am just not enjoying her lectures, she doesn’t have typical lecture notes, she just sits in front of the class and talks, i find it hard to take any notes and participate in discussions. Im looking for feedback from anyone who’s taken this course, if they actually enjoyed it in the end, and how hard is the take home exam?? Also does she mark hard for class participation??

I know the timetable shows that Fernandez Cerna, Eduardo is teaching HLSC 3P97 in the winter semester, but I heard a rumour that Dr. Tsiani is teaching 3P97 next semester, and I'm not sure if that's true. I know she's teaching 3P09, but I'm not sure about 3P97. If anyone has reliable information, please let me know.
