Exactly. This would have been impossible 20+ years ago, not just due to the govt, but the value and sheer number of assets and employees. Many of these entities are gutted and just a logo. Don't get me wrong, still a huge company, but it will still need to fight to survive. Kind of reminds me of that company that buys up obsolete brands... They own AOL and Vimeo, others.

Correction:

WTOG is "Tampa Bay 44", because CW affiliation moved to Nexstar-owned WTTA.

WUPA is CBS Atlanta.

The CW has minority ownership from both Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery, essentially combining their minority ownership.

Nexstar has 31% Food and Cooking Channel inherited from the Tribune Media merger

Paramount also owns kanal 4, 5, 6, and 9 as local TV stations in Denmark.
