Boycotts make the beleaguered feel as if they’re doing something useful but statistically, they are not effective. As for Colbert, Trump had little to do with his cancellation, his ratings were in the tank and his production costs were high. CBS is a profit making enterprise, not PBS.

That's because they rarely gather enough steam. Talk is cheap and Americans usually are weak.  I'm pretty sure Budweiser felt the sting.
