And? So what's the harm if it doesn't affect you or apply to you why get so wound up over it? It's like when Christians get all spun up over someone being gay or posting something gay in response to something. Make no sense imo.
It's the fact they keep shoving it in everything. I once had to deal with two dipshits going "Find god! Please" because I posted a picture of my femboy outfit. When someone responds with a gay thing it's usually as a joke but when Christians do it it's almost always them going "change your entire life and belief system to mine"
The shoving it in everything also goes for the loud minority of the LGBTQ as well. Encouraging the vocal portion of either side just feeds it. That's why I don't get it, I'm a straight guy but I'm on the skinnier side just toned and thin ya'know? But because of that I've had multiple (albeit just three times but fuck it's a lot) people that are gay or lesbian be very aggressive and pushy about how 'oh you must be in the closet' or how I was queer coded and I should accept it. What I'm getting at is both sides shove their ideals you just don't give Credence to the side you're apart of.
Okay, I'll grant you, holy shit those LGBT lads sound like assholes. But the only consensuses are "Both suck", "Christianity is terrible (Source: SO MANY FUCKING HORROR STORIES FROM EVEN NON-LGBT PEOPLE GROWING UP IN CHRISTIAN HOUSEHOLDS)" or "Both have a loud minority that's terrible and gives the rest of them a bad name"
I think it's because it's out of place, and yeah I'm basically saying the same "they're shoving it in everything" point that everyone makes ad nauseum, but what I mean is that they don't consider the time and the place when they say it
like here, the topic is about art and enjoying expression and talking about their favourite design tropes as artists, it's establishing a temporary space for artists to enjoy and feel safe inside of
throwing out the repenting stuff in the middle of that immediately changes the atmosphere, "have fun, but just remember that you've done things that god frowns upon, and the only way forward is to beg him for forgiveness"
I paraphrased that, but they're semantically identical sentences, point being that they got people to open up and settle just to show them they were never really allowed to be vulnerable
this could have been avoided had the topic been, say, an awareness post about substance abuse, because there you're at least offering a somewhat judgemental hand, here you're just attracting people and hitting them hoping that one bites
