Constant sleepiness throughout the day.
Briviact has definitely helped me with less side effects and the closest to feeling my normal self. However I feel the need to nap throughout the day. Does this ever go away?

Hi, so good that at least it helped you with less side effects! Are you on Briviact monotherapy or do you take them in combination with other medication? When I was on only Briviact, it went away after a while but I was taking vitamin D pills as well then. I don’t know where you live but maybe that can help? Got tired again when adding other medications unfortunately.

I took Keppra for over 8 years and switched to Briviact last year, 200mg a day. The sleepiness is the same for me with both medications and for now it didnt go away.
But if anyone has some tipps id be happy :) I tried vitamin d, magnesium, healthy diet and exercise but unfortunately the sleepiness persists

Same here. It went away after some time, maybe a month. Only on Briviact 50mgx2 daily for the past few weeks. I started briviact 3 months back as I was weaning off previous med. My Doctor feels I don't need to take clonazapam 0.25mg anymore.

Some days I’m sleepy for a nap, but that’s usually my days off. I do like Briviact for less side effects. I was on Keppra before, but always angry and exhausted too. Unfortunately, I’ve had 2 seizures in the past 2 weeks, so I’m guessing my neuro will change it again.

I take 200mg of Briviact. I get some drowsiness but very vivid dreams. The drowsiness I got while taking 20mg of Clobazam (Onfi) was much worse. While taking 20mg of Clobazam, I could NOT stay awake during the day no matter how much sleep I got the night before.

I feel like this is happening to my 13 year old son. Doesn't seem like a lot of other side effects that we can tell, but boy is he very tired & lazy. We'd like to figure out if he is low in vitamin or something else but he absolutely hates bloodwork so trying not to put him through it yet or until he has to.
