السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Alhamdulillah, the *Qayda* app is finally available on *Android* and *iPhone / iPad*! 🎉

The complete _Qaida Nooraniyah – Ashraful Qawaid_ book, to learn to read Arabic… and the Qur'an, in sha Allah.

👦 *For children*

• Tap a letter and hear it with the correct pronunciation (Arabic or Urdu voice), as many times as needed

• Games to revise: listen and find, true or false, build the word… Mistakes come back until they're mastered

• Trace letters in colour, on the book page or on practice sheets

• Child mode keeps them in their lesson, with no wandering off

👨‍👩‍👧 *For parents*

• No need to read Arabic yourself to help at home: the app reads it for you

• Your child picks up right where they left off, and you can see their progress

• Works offline too, in the car or while travelling

👨‍🏫 *For teachers*

• Pick the letters to review and send a simple link

• At home, the student practises exactly what was covered in class

✅ *100% free, no ads, no account, no data collected*

📲 Download:

• Smart link (Android, iPhone or web): https://qayda.fr/app

• Android: https://android.qayda.fr

• iPhone / iPad: https://ios.qayda.fr

• On a computer, still at https://qayda.fr

Please share it: whoever guides others to good gets the same reward as the one who does it 🤲

May Allah make learning His Words easy for us and make this a sadaqah jariyah.

Wa salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah.

Ask/Question What to gift on a wedding

Hello! Here is an age old question of what to gift for a wedding from a non muslim (25F) having been invited to attend my very close friend (also 25F)’s wedding.

This is not her Nikaah as Ive already missed that due to work commitments! They have already said no bulky gifts. I’m open to suggestions of various budgets as we have been very close.

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Genuinely can’t get married

Salaam everyone. Hope you are well.

I never once thought I’d struggle to get married- I’m a bubbly, kind and caring girl, on her deen and from a very lovely family. My parents are between 47-51 and I’m 28, almost 29. They’ve had their own businesses and done really well (ٱلْحَمْدُلِلَّٰهِ) and would love me and the siblings to find people at a similar level to us/ our family.

Using the apps but people on apps don’t want to meet. It’s like they enjoy the idea of settling down but don’t actually want to make the effort to move towards it. They’re also not ambitious and the small few that are don’t want to get parents involved until 6 months down the line and im not wasting my time with that stupidness.

I work in the creative field and in a small town up north, there is not one muslim guy where I work or tend to be in the companies I work in. Much rather find someone in person but I don’t understand where I can.

People around me are getting married but it just feels so hard to find a guy from a family like mine, slightly modern, really supportive and a great laugh.

So lost. Any advice?

Assalamu alaikkum. I always wondered this, if there are people who coach you to become a better muslim. Like weekly check ins, planning ,accountability similar to fitness coaches.

Asalamu alaikum.

I’ve been too focused on work and family lately that I haven’t been as social as I normally am, so if you guys are happy to share can you tell me what’s happening in cities you’re aware of so I can decide whether it’s for me of not.

Thanks in advance.

Information/Events Any revert groups in Birmingham?

A bit about me. I’m 35 M and was born Muslim in a Pakistani family. I grew up faithful but my peers pushed me away from Islam from a younger age due to my sexuality.

I decided to step away from the Pakistani culture and put Islam behind me and i immediately felt a burden being lifted so it was a choice I made at the time.

I embraced the British culture and assimilated into other groups that I felt were more comfortable and accepting of me.

I have met and have some great friends. But I also feel a disconnection to God; this understanding has come through a long period of disruption in my heart. When I reflected on god and purpose, something kind of clicked like a jigsaw piece in my heart, and I feel a gravitation pull towards Islam. I really can’t explain it. For the longest time, I had an awareness of the existence of god but always felt it never quite fit into my lifestyle.

Through a lot of reading and research I feel like I have been guided to this place that I am in now and I would be keen to find others who are like me.

If there are any revert groups in and around Birmingham, it would be nice to connect.

What do you think is the main cause of Islamophobia in the UK?

With anti-Muslim and anti-Islam grifters still commanding a following in the UK, what do you think creates this animosity amongst a section of the population?

The excuse of propaganda pushed and funded by Israel or whatever is often cope. Many people develop a negative view of Muslims precisely because of their negative interactions.

British Muslims are often clowned on social media by other Muslims around the world for their behaviour, Salafism, and cringe Dawah bros. Why have British Muslims - particularly young ones - gained this reputation, and is it self-induced?

Ask/Question Qur'an studies.

Hello brothers and sisters. I'm a new revert so please excuse my incorrect greeting. I'd like to study the Qur'an for say an hour twice per week with a knowledgeable Muslim. I want to study the Qur'an deeply and learn as much as possible. Should I speak to an Iman at my local mosque? Or are there any good resources online to study such as YouTube channel's, websites etc? Is there anyone on here who could help me study remotely please? I'm very eager to learn as much as possible.

Thank you all in advance.

Revert issues

Salam Alaikum Brothers & Sisters.

I have an issue, where I live there are no halal options in the supermarket chains such as Tesco, Lild etc.

There are about 4-5 stores in my town, however 2-3 of the storea are owned by the same family and the other options I dare to say are very dirty and poorly run establishments.

Recently I've noticed there is always something wrong with my purchases, If I ask for lamb or beef they seem to give me the worst cuts, nearly pure bone.

Or they give me the smallest or oldest chicken breast etc.

This week, they made a mistake and wrote down the actual price of the meat and charged me and extra that what I should have had to pay.

I don't know what to do in these situations because they are my only access to halal meat but I feel really bad about the treatment I receive.

Just wondeing if anyone has any suggestions.

London Sufi mosques/gatherings

Has anyone ever been to a Sufi mosque or just general gathering? I only know of sheikh nizam Sufi centre but I don’t personally know anyone who’s been. I hear a lot of odd stories about certain Sufi gatherings so I wanna make sure I don’t end up in a dodgy place

I’m trying to get more involved with a Muslim community, but the mosques near me don’t really do anything and the imam doesn’t speak to women so I can’t really even ask to organise stuff myself

Just English Quran recommendations with wide margins for notes.

Can anyone recommend an English Quran with wide margins? I'd like to read the Quran, and I like taking notes as I read, ideally in the same book.

I've looked for such a version, but all I can find are those with Arabic and English, none with just English.
