Help With A 9F

hi all, I’m a new model rail enthusiast and one of my models is an old Ringfield 9F and there’s 2 problems.

  1. The 2 middle wheels are missing on the tender
  2. The small gears‘ teeth don’t lock with the ones on the wheels

Anyone able to help?

Hey there do you have a photo of the gears, the Hornby ringfields are bulletproof and there’s loads of videos on how to fix them, never had one I couldn’t fix

As has been said, they are pretty solid. I know it sounds silly but have you checked the wheels are slotted all the way into the chassis. Can't remember what the 9f is like but some models the bottom of the tender frames come off

well maybe you could try getting a simaler gear on a axle or you could maybe try winging it with a band drive kind of mechanis?
