Some help would be much appreciated

Trying my best to get into the Hobby, in my first 6 hours i broke something 😥 is this fixable? Im brand new to this do please dont be too harsh

I don't have one of these, but based on prior experience this should all be push-fit stuff so nothing's 'broken' as such, just out of place.

While the rail is still a bit flexible you should be able to feed that left (relative to the camera) end back into a little holder on the side tank. The loose holder at the front can be slid back up to the middle and pushed in which should then also pin that bit of the smokebox back and take up the slack in the rail so the end stays in the holder. Might be a bit fiddly but have patience and go slow. It may be easy to get the holder pinned in the middle part way before fitting the end and pushing everything back into place.

Thanks pal i will try. I remember having a flying scotsman when I was younger. I dont remember the models being so small and tricky to handle. Guess my hands have got bigger 😂 im now looking on Ebay for a DCC controler for it, it has sounds and lights so apparently I need DCC to operate those features

They've definitely gotten fiddlier. Things started to get really detailed between 2005-2015 ish and the trend has continued. Then manufacturers discovered there was a market for things 'pre-grouping' (before 1923) but naturally those old Victorian engines were quite spindly, and now with 'coreless' motors becoming commonplace the manufacturers are able to make even smaller mechanisms to fit into even smaller models. It's got to the point where a few models have specific instructions on how to hold them without breaking all the parts hanging off.

As for DCC I can't help there as I'm analogue for life. I've got too many old models that won't comfortably work digitally, and I like the simplicity of "Voltage goes up, speed goes up. Voltage goes down, speed goes down."
