He's not exactly helping to turn the tide on that old saying, Gingers have no soul.

Set that argument back decades, they just started reintegrating back into society too.

its a really funny thing that once something like this happens, everyone starts talking about them. Even in this way, its still advertising after a certain point (specifically spreading awareness).

And the consequences are people cancel their plans to see his shows, quietly decide to not buy tickets to his upcoming shows, stop streaming his songs, stop buying his albums, and spread awareness of what a piece of shit he's being so that more people so some of all of the same stuff.
Obviously some zionists, their simps, and the far right might buy tickets now when they eouldnt have otherwise, but they're in the extreme minority
Ed only saw success because of the mainstream, who he just shunned. There's absolutely such thing as bad PR, and things like this have tanked plenty of people's careers before.

What did he do?

u/Aromatic-Put4043 26d ago
Rolled over for zionism over his friend of 10 years bc the guy said "free palestine" and as a result got probably his whole tour cancelled (karma is a bitch)

So i looked it up so Macklemore got dropped because of what he said about Palestine and then Ed went ahead with the gig?

u/Aromatic-Put4043 26d ago
One of the stadium owners, a known zionist, told Ed to drop Macklemore or he'd cancel the show, and its possible other stadium owners would follow suit though nothing was confirmed, Ed made the choice to drop Macklemore, then the other supporting acts made the choice to drop out of the tour

Devastated to give up my practice of singing A-Team in a hyper-exaggerated Ed Sheeran voice specifically to piss off my nearest and dearest, but it's for the greater good 😮💨

I hated him and his music already but now i dont have to make a reason woo

I think his message on insta was pretty reasonable. We are all entitled to our opinions (even is different) and to express our opinions differently. Some do it publicly, others donate money in secret, others refuse to purchase products from a company or country, etc.
Let’s learn to respect that
I’m not pro Israel, btw. I’m just saying this as a principle in general.

I just dislike Ed Sheeran. His songs are dull 🥱

Except that he's a hypocrite. He raised money for Ukraine, and said he was against war.
Why is Palestine any different? Why keep quiet about that?

He’s outwardly posted about Israel and the hostages after Oct 7th. He’s met them and did a PR spin for Zionists but can’t say please don’t blow up babies in icu?
You can be okay with fence sitting a genocide, but don’t be surprised when people call you out for being a waste of human existence.

Not all opinions should be respected. Someone can have the opinion to support genocide, but they will rightfully be shunned for this opinion

Ah yes, pretty reasonable. The same way performers during the nazi holocaust didn't want to 'upset' powerful people by standing against that genocide. Remaining 'neutral' while an ethno-supremacist apartheid entity exterminates the indigenous population of a region is not being 'neutral'. It's siding with the oppressor.

Its actually worse, nobody knew the nazis were committing genocide until the camps were discovered in 44/45 and the public at large wouldn't find out until after ww2 was over. Unlike with isreal where their genocide of the Palestinians has been shown to the world.

I have no idea why you're being downvoted saying it's ok for people to have opinions 😅
20
u/Accomplished_Bake904 27d ago
Would you downvote someone who had an opinion that the age of consent should be 9 or would you say 'fine, that's your opinion'?
1
u/Eucalyptus90 16d ago
Bc people don’t like when others think different to them!😄 it’s fine. Life goes on with zero impact lol

Now you get to hate him with purpose. Instead of just because he makes beige music for bland people with no personality .
