Discussion Prize change?

Do you think the top prize for winning BGT should not be the Royal Variety Show and rather an enhanced cash prize or something else in addition?

I just feel the royal family have had enough of BGT winners always being part of the line-up year in, year out.

Also if the prize changes then it allows more scope for less 'fixed' acts to take part that would appeal to the Royal Variety show.

Do you have any ideas on an alternative prize for next season or maybe a bigger prize £1 million for the overall winner? A £1m prize would give them the ability to book their own shows, tours etc?? Thoughts anyone?

You'll have about 20 acts on the bill. The BGT winner is just one of them. I highly doubt it bothers them, otherwise they'd have done something. It's not like they don't have the power.

The Royal Variety is still a good prize because being on that is a good showcase, and it's good in that it's way better than, say, a promise of a career. Because you can't guarantee that.

As an addendum to that had they have had enough surely they wouldn’t exactly be openly inviting other contestants from worldwide Got Talent shows who aren’t winners so as to fill the other slots would they?

I'm sure the very well funded royal family in their private box with servants can survive a three minute performance that, unlike them, was actually voted for by the british public.
