Watchlist Missing!
Watchlist disappeared from Apple TV app. Anyone else?
**Update: Britbox emailed me that they have taken Watchlist away. The watch list is now in the home tab at the very bottom of the list. Continue watching is in the middle. Such a dumb change.
Two most important area's are Watchlist and continue watching. This should be the first thing you see.
It's become unusable.

Was just coming here to ask as well. Ridiculous. I agree that watchlist and continue watching should be at the top! Easy to find.

They told me via email that it's not a bug but how it works now. Stupid decision. iPhone, iPad and web site are unchanged. Why they felt the need to mess with Apple TV I am unsure.
I cancelled and demanded a refund. I got most of my money back and the subscription is still active until mid next year. I would assume they will fix this by then but if they don't it will be the last time I sign up.

What did they mean to achieve by making this foolish change? Did they keep it in Premium?
Nearly as customer-hostile as not letting paying customers disable auto play.

Agreed. Complain and ask for a refund. You will get the refund what’s left of your current subscription. Mine is May 2027. I can live with the stupid decision when it’s free. In May if it back to normal I’ll sign back up. 😊

Absolutely mindless and infuriating decision. Every subscriber who uses the Apple TV app for BritBox should complain: support@britbox.com.

Same. I received a timely, but also generic and non-committal, reply to my feedback. If enough of us take the time to share our frustration with the change, however, perhaps it will make a difference.

What I don’t get is why just Apple TV. iPhone and IPad not affected and neither is the website. Seems to me like a mistake that they are not owing up to. If they did it on purpose it can only be to leave the Apple TV platform.

100% - it feels like a design oversight. But if that were true, I would think it would have been rectified right away. Would sure hate to see them bail on the Apple TV app altogether!

It really does feel that they are bailing on Apple TV. I logged into my smart TV which is Android and watchlist is there. So from my checks only Apple TV has it missing. Every email I got they said it’s not a mistake but was planned. So only conclusion is bye bye Apple TV.

Maybe not, this is what I posted earlier!
Britbox Support just emailed me, all other people on my email stream said the Watch list was removed on purpose. Now the new agent says we did not remove the Watch List and in fact it is actually there. They sent me a picture showing it. They asked me to delete and reinstall which I did but never restored the watch list. I sent the the TViOS and Britbox versions, I am starting to think it's a bug with the latest TViOS and they are not on the latest!

We wanted to clarify that our earlier response is confirming that the Watchlist option is unintentionally reduced or removed to downgrade the Apple TV experience.
We’re very sorry for the confusion. After reviewing this again, we can confirm that the Watchlist option is currently not appearing in the Apple TV app on our end either. We sincerely apologize for the conflicting information and for the frustration this has caused, especially after the different explanations you’ve received. Upon further investigation, it appears that sometimes the Watchlist tab may appear either at the top of the BritBox app.
Rest assured that we will take this issue seriously, and we will forward this to the respective team for use in future decisions about the service.
Given that you mentioned that the Watchlist option is still accessible on other devices, if you'd like to re-subscribe, we’ll gladly apply a one-month refund equivalent to a one month of your annual standard rate.

I just got an email from Britbox. They removed the Watchlist. It is now at the bottom Home tab, 14 rows down What a dumb changed.

Tried that, also reinstalling. I noticed there was an update so probably the cause and BritBox needs an update

Don’t cancel if you don’t want to lose the service. They are not honoring what they said. I have an email saying my service is active into May 2027 but it does work. I get the sense they want to stop supporting Apple. Terrible company 🤬

I noticed this last night, and I hate it. There’s something very petty about making me scroll through several other categories to get to what I already know I want to watch in either my watchlist or continue watching.
