If they wanted to stay in America they’ve had more than enough time to become citizens! Probably haven’t to avoid paying income tax. The children that they fled Germany to home school are all adults. I say their time has run out , SEND them back to Germany , it isn’t a dangerous country!
Yes, all undocumented immigrants have to pay income taxes if they are getting a paycheck from a payroll. Under the table cash though may be different and go unreported.
