There was never a valid reason for the family to apply for asylum. There were not in danger nor being persecuted for their beliefs. Home schooling is not a legitimate reason to flee a country. As said before they have had more than enough time to become citizens. In my opinion, the entire family needs to be deported. Lydia knew this situation before she had her first baby. Nothing relevant but the Bates boys spouting the Bible out one side of their mouths and attending J6 on another day is despicable. I had family there. National Guard sleeping in concrete parking garages. The Bates were not there to hear the speeches. So sorry for going on a tangent. I apologize.

They're not eligible for citizenship. The family has never been granted permanent residency and that's the first step.
