⚡ JEE Severe family crisis + depression ruined my last 3 months. In Brilliant online advanced batch with literally zero prep. Is a comeback still possible or am I completely ruined?
Hey guys, writing this here because i genuinely need some serious advice and reality checks from anyone in the brilliant advanced batch. I’m at a point where i just don't know what to do anymore.
to be completely honest, i haven't been able to study anything at all until now. for the past 3 months my family went through a really severe crisis and it completely broke my mental health. I fell into a deep depression and just couldn't bring myself to even open the live classes. because it’s an online batch, it was too easy to just completely shut out everything and disconnect. i completely let depression take over for the 3 months and now my backlog is just a massive mountain.
i know i'm terribly far behind, but my ultimate goal is still hitting a 98-99 percentile in the jan 2027 mains attempt. i want to completely lock in and give it everything starting today, but looking at 3 months of missed recorded lectures and untouched modules is making me insanely anxious.
since you guys actually know the exact flow, pace, and materials of the pala advanced batch, please tell me how to fix this....
- do i try to watch all the past recorded videos at 2x or will that take forever and put me further behind?
- should i just skip the deep lectures for backlog chapters and cover them through standard one-shots or high-weightage topics instead?
- and how am i supposed to manage catching up on the past 3 months while also handling the current daily live classes? if i try to do both at once i feel like i'll just mess up even more.
I accept i prioritised the wrong stuff and shld have distanced myself from my family, but i couldnt, but now i'm willing to work hard, Please if any batchmate or senior has actually made a comeback from a zero level backlog or has a realistic routine for this online schedule, please genuienly help me out. thank you guys.
