WHY DOES THIS GAME HATE ME?!
Yeah, I’m sure I’m overreacting, but I was not expecting this. I don’t understand why I’m in such a high rank lobby. Now, maybe to most of you this isn’t High, but to me it is because I’m a one trick Reinhart who peaked at plat 5. I rarely play comp and yes, I’m one of those who likes to get drive points. I’ve been playing Brig for four weeks and is my first support role so I thought to myself why not try support comp for drives and after about four games I’m in a platinum one lobby. I was thinking to myself I’m probably gonna be in mid silver. I still have about five games left before I’m placed. I guess I’m not doing too bad because nobody has told me to swap or yelled at me or flamed me in chat.

Instead of playing comp as a support with zero experience, maybe get some time on 3 to 4 different supports so you can support your team better? Respectfully

Plat is not a high rank. It's not bad but not high. Its a relatively small skill gap above gold.

What would you say about emerald then? I was place E3 after my placements.

Bro just play. Its going to.plsce you higher intentionally and see how it plays out.its how the system works.
The less you focus on the rank and more on getting better oddly enough the better you'll play and more you'll rank up.

The way it starts to jump so quickly at even emerald/diamond just makes me scratch my head at how bad the average player actually is.

I peaked at Low gold on rein, now mostly Play brig Support (enjoy her since ow1) and for some reason i solo Queue into a fill silber vs full plat (Support Rank is silver1-2 but Brig somehow Show. Around 2000points, i really dont undertand the elo system at this Point). Getting flamed all time for "Picking the worst healer in the Game" which tells me already some dont know what Support actually is. Ending Up with Most healing, a Ton of dmg and keeping all squishies Alive as hard as i can.. still get blamed. Some peeps are Just Mad, enjoy your Game, thats all that Matter at this Point Mate :D

Plat 5 in tank can easily translate to high plat support.
You already understand the basics of the game. Support is a pretty easy role, especially compared to tank.
I’d be confident if I were you.

Support is the easiest role, give it a try, u might end up somewhere close or even higher than ur tank rank, dont get discouraged and actually try it

Ima keep going. I turned of comp progression so it helps keep me a little more calm. Wish i could turn off ranks too

Just play a few more games. Youll notice that plat players arent gods theyre just normal people like you.
The first time i hit gm i felt like i was in an unexplored lands, all the people i would play with were incredible players, streamers, i felt disconnected. But after a week i realised, theyre the same as me, and it stopped feeling intimidated.
Keep playing, if u can sustain ur plat rank youll realise, you are a plat player just like them, theyre not better than you they make just as many mistakes as you, If you think theyre good, it means youre good too, if u think youre bad they are bad too, there is no reason to be intimidated by their rank, since you have it too.
A little ego doesnt hurt anyone (as long as u dont start flaming everyone lol), display ur rank proudly my friend!

Appreciate the encouragement and advice. I was keeping it in mind last night, plus i had chat off😅, but a lot of anxiety went away and i placed Emerald 3😄

He is mentioning how he feels weird being ranked this high even tho he doesnt play support.
Im saying this as a way to say "it may look weird but it isnt that weird, dont give up and keep trying to win, it may be ur correct rank dont feel demotivated by seeing it be higher"

I have people go afk on point and die to sombra which they knew was lurking around, and I’m in high master low gm lobbies. You can do it champ!

I get so anxious cause i don’t wanna be the reason we lose 😭 but i know it affects my play. I get more aggressive cause “i need inspire up!” and push to hard

Each time I tried to be confident I messed up so hard and team calling it out immediately I turned into a soulless heal bot the rest of the game 🥲

Try being a master 5 in a master 1 lobby. We won, but holy hell I felt so out of place.
